Man ya'll work hard at food plots! I planted some elderberry and comfrey (was told both are deer deterrent- HA!) for the wife and the deer won't leave them alone! from 60 yards they look up while still chewing. Makes me feel like asking if they want lead with that! gonna be a quick casual...

    OK whats up

I switched to the new duck duck go browser and it blocks ads and trackers. It made my web surfing almost as pleasant as a day in the tractor seat.... Almost....

    Working with fiberglass .... urghhh!

My worst mistake back then was getting tired while smoothing the resin across the floor, stepping into the engine well (was an I/O) then sitting on the edge of the floor without giving it any thought...... It took me an hour to cut my jeans off so I could stand up! My intentions for the boat...

Looking for Advice on Gravel Maintenance

I only graded the old drive to smooth and then crown it, then had a truck lay down a 4" layer.

Looking for Advice on Gravel Maintenance

Some years ago I used crushed limestone for a drive about 3/4 of a mile long that was mostly dirt from neglect. That stuff locked up almost as tight as concrete. Before the limestone -I had to grade after nearly every rain. After- about once a year I had a pot hole or 2 to tend with. It also has...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I just gave this advise to a neighbor who lives at the foot of the mountain. He says he is afraid to go near a stand of trees near his creek as beavers have chewed all the way around them and they could fall anytime. I have not seen them yet, but offered him my AR-15 and told him to aim high :D

    Working with fiberglass .... urghhh!

Very nice work! I wrote off fiberglass work after rebuilding a 18' open bow with rotted floors. It took me months and months. Yours looks better than the factory!

EDC question ( Asking for a friend)

I've still got my P320 compact in 9mm on my side. Been debating stepping up to a 45, but have not found a right fit. Gotta say those Sig Legions look good, but not sure about it for EDC

    Start the Countdown

The wife and I are going thru this right now and preparing for chickens. I made her agree to keep the names simple- , Fricassee, Alfredo, Nuggets, Fajita or any other chicken dish she can think of! :D

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I pulled the trigger on Pat's Quick Hitch the other day, and installed them today. Never been a quick hitch fan, but a couple of old implements that have happened my way have been "tweeked" and are a real pain to get hooked up. Not no more! Wishing I would have done this sooner!

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Today the tractor acted as a plumbing bench.... was out of bench space and needed to JB weld the bottom of our new stone sink (still building our house). There was a small "valley" in the stone along the edge of the drain hole that would not seal up, so I used the forks to hold the sink while...

personal protection in the heat, ticks, poison ivy?

My cool down technique is to dunk my shirt in the creek. MAybe that cold water helps remove the ivy oils.

personal protection in the heat, ticks, poison ivy?

There is no way I can dress in long sleeves in this heat! I just do what I must in my carhartt pants, boots, and sleeveless shirts. The bugs and ticks- I just keep a good eye out t the end of the day. I met a knew friend in the fight against poison ivy- Jewel Weed! It grows near poison ivy...

    Gear heads

I test drove one in '23 before I found my 6.2l. The salesman (a youngster) did not tell me about the engine size and to be fair I didn't ask. One step on the accelerator and I asked. After having a '19 Silverado with 5.3l, I noticed the slower response immediately. Not much, but enough to take...

    techno geeks

My wife has started getting text messages from unknown to us numbers. Weird stuff- "Hey what time are you going to the party tonight?" kinds of stuff. Answer with anything and they seem to try leading you into a grab for money. My phone usually lays in my 1/2 built barn somewhere unless my wife...

Can you say........."Kid in a candy store...." ?????

I remember the days of "trading" scrap. Roll across the scales with your truckload going in and get directed to the drop off pile. Empty the truck and find a few useful items from others to toss back in, and back to the scales to be paid the difference. Those days are loooong gone here!

You are very correct. It will only be for transport of my tractors off site. I already have another trailer for everything else. I pile items on it and pull it around with my tractor.
