OK fellas, I finally “stepped up to the plate” and bought a Bridgeport. I still have to get it in the basement, but when I do, I have to power it; So I am trying to “think ahead” a little and formulate a “plan of attack”.
Like most people, I obviously have single phase power, so I am going to...
WOW!!!!!
“pucker factor 10+” for sure
That’s nuts……that guy bailed, just in the nick of time AND more amazingly, at precisely the right time, for sure!!!!!!
A second sooner, or later, could have been catastrophic.
I love my BH, and would get one again. Although I am not sure about a “Non-Kubota” one.
I would absolutely take a “hard pass” on anything that did not have a ‘frame support”, due to the reports of possibly turning your tractor into a “2 piece model"
However a mini-ex would be a better choice...
I have the binders pictured on the right for my 2501.
They work great, but as pointed out above, I think I would go with straps for a “one time” move.
I transport mine on a “quasi-frequent basis” so I chose to switch to chains and binders, but in all honesty I never had a problem/concerns with...
Funny that you should bring this up.
Last week I bought a 1/2 inch drive “Chi-Com” knock off impact cause it uses Dewalt batteries.
Although it removed my wifes minivan lug nuts, it did so “just barely"
So here it is, ready for the “return voyage” home……..
900 FT-LBS. my a$$…………….Their...
No, surprisingly/thankfully they did not.
The airbag sensors are located on the "radiator core support”, just a 1/4 inch below the headlights.
The “core support” was wasted, “just above” that part, but amazingly the "sensor area" was unmolested.
I had to replace “basically everything”...
Pic update:
Here she is “all dolled up”.
Sorry for. the “night pic”, but with that damn daylight savings time thing, our schedules only have us cross paths when it’s dark out. (come on retirement!!!!!)
If you have a 3D printer, or access to one, a "lockable cover’ would a fairly simple thing to “print out"
Side Note: My dad had device that kept me and my brother from F’ing around with “fuel caps”….
It looked like this…..Pretty sure he got them at K-mart’s…….
I got’cha…. (y) (y)
The older I get, the more light I seem to need/require…..
So “stupid’ly bright lights” are a must have for me. I also paint the floors and walls “white" to reflect as much light as I can.
I agree with the “tallest/biggest doors” possible crowd as well. (insulated too)
A...
Nice use of those old sh1tty scuba weights in your top pic!!!!!…… (y) (y)
After accidentally dropping one on my SIL’s toe, I scrapped them all and bought the soft weights.
I hate those damn things.
What is the “primary focus” of your shop?
Tons of great ideas above, but I think it really depends on what “type” of work/play you have in mind.
My "garage shop" is primarily automotive focused and my "basement shop" is primarily metal working and reloading/gun focused.
For me, I would like...
As Ted Nugent would so eloquently say……”Whack’em and stack’em” my friends. (y)
Last week my wife unfortunately "filled her tag” using the mini-van.
Man….3 deer strikes in 4 years is getting ridiculous…...
The important part is that she has not been hurt.
The guy that stopped to help her...
