    Mysterious coolant leak, TG1860G

Started it up, and about a cup of coolant poured out from the front of the muffler. I'm completely at a loss as to where it came from. The only wet spots I found were directly underneath the muffler, and looking with a mirror I can't see any holes in the muffler that would suggest a head gasket...

12 vdc gearmotor for a snowblower chute rotater

Feel free to copy my idea. I'm not sure how your exact setup works, but this one was simple and cost me a $25 motor (plus whatever bracket I make instead of the zip ties). The seat track motor has plenty of power when the chute gets iced up, and 190RPM is the right speed to move it quickly, but...

B2650 snowblower - is there a shear pin in the driveline?

I used POR15 on my deck after pressure washing, scrapping, and sanding most of the rust away. It's very good for its intended use, but it is by no means a cure all, and it's not exactly easy to apply. It's pretty darn tough once cured. You should also buy in sizes you'll use all at once, or have...

Turning a bad decision into a not-quite-as-bad decision

The extra zerks would have been a good idea. I'll remember that the next time I take it all apart. I've already swapped the augers and it's ready to go. I put the augers symmetrically mainly because that's how it was when I took them off, and how I've seen other TG2746 blowers setup. I'll...

Turning a bad decision into a not-quite-as-bad decision

Thank you! Just as I was appreciating the hard work paying off, I noticed I swapped the auger sides and it'll actually push the snow to the outside... At least it's not greased yet and shouldn't be messy taking it all apart again.

Turning a bad decision into a not-quite-as-bad decision

(Next post for pictures) I replaced the rusted out ramp on the snowblower. Cut it out, welded in a thicker 12ga plate, smoothed the weld out with some automotive filler, and then POR-15 and painted it. The auger and impeller were also overhauled, replaced the three seals on the gearbox, sanded...

Turning a bad decision into a not-quite-as-bad decision

First off, thanks for the help I've gotten from this site so far! It's been a good resource to help get my Kubota back in action. Second, I don't know where to put this so I'm just throwing it here since this is a little beyond "service and maintenance". A few months ago I picked up a used...

    TG1860G deck lift effort?

Good to know, thanks! I thought something was wrong, but sounds like the deck is just heavy. The snowblower on the other hand can't be lifted with the normal lever. Definitely needs the additional arm that comes with the quick attach. I can let it down with the lever, though.

TG1860G and TG2746A snowblower with TG2739A adapter, belt lenth?

Thanks for pointing that out, I was looking at the diagram on messicks incorrectly. One of those two belts is probably the one I need. I will measure and find out. For some reason at first glance it looked like the belts in the diagram were pointing to go with the gear, but I can see there is...

TG1860G and TG2746A snowblower with TG2739A adapter, belt lenth?

I think those two numbers are actually for the chain on the snowblower. I'm looking for the belt that goes from the clutch pulley on the tractor to the TG2739A quick attach adapter. I can't find any diagrams for it though.

TG1860G and TG2746A snowblower with TG2739A adapter, belt lenth?

I'm looking for a belt to connect the TG2739A quick adapter pulley to the tractor pulley. The one given to me when I bought it is too short. Does anyone know the part number or even better the length?

    TG1860G deck lift effort?

My TG1860G has a shock/piston to help raise the deck. Before I buy a replacement piston, I'm wondering how much effort it should take to lift the deck. On the way up, once the slack is taken out of the lever, I have to use what I consider a lot of strength to lift it to the locked up position...

    Wtb mower deck wheels

Looking for 2 deck wheels plus the big pins they attach to. My deck is supposed to have 4 and I only have 2. I'll take just the pins too, I can find the plastic wheels elsewhere.

    TG1860G plus accessories pricing

I'm wondering what a good sale value for a 1998 TG1860G would be. Comes with TG2746A snowblower, TG2754 dozer blade, the quick attach coupler, and RCK54TG 54" inch deck. Condition is "good" with no issues, but it's not pristine. Only visible rust is on the blower, otherwise everything else is...

    Removing TG2746A snowblower impeller

That crossed my mind. The gearbox, horizontal shafts, shear pins, and impeller were all taken apart and loose so when I hit, everything was capable of giving and moving. The BFH wasn't really there for brute force, more for momentum. Turned out, the spacer behind the gear was also solidly...

    Removing TG2746A snowblower impeller

I was able to get it off with a BFH. The gear and collar had seized from rust, mainly on the key for the shaft/gear. The spacing collar behind the gear I was able to slide off with a bearing puller.

    Removing TG2746A snowblower impeller

I'm trying to dismantle my snowblower to straighten some metal and take care of some rust, but having a bit of trouble removing the center drive shaft to the gearbox (the one the impeller/auger spins with). It looks like there are 2 set screws on the back of the housing holding the gear onto the...

Odd request, need linkage measurements for TG1860G

I need the rear linkage for the quick attachment that goes on TG model mowers. Attached pictures of the pieces I need measurements for. I plan to make these myself since they're quite simple, but also expensive. I think if I had measurements of all the straight sides, and maybe the hole to...

WTB: TG1860 mower deck and male quick connect chassis linkages

Looking for parts 050 and 060 for the mower deck, and parts 4 and 5 for the male quick connector.

    TG1860G - Rebuilt HST, now no forward/reverse

I'm not sure if it's a hydro gear transmission, but maybe? It also calls for hydraulic UDT/UDT2 fluid instead of motor oil. I believe it's similar to the diesel models that were shaft driven instead of belt driven, but could be mistaken.
