    B6000e questions

Paul, Aside from your uphill battle with traction, is there is enough grunt from the little B6000 engine to haul the hog and power the cut for 4ft swath?

    Snow blower B748B on B 6100 D

The snowblower manufacturer didn't put in any shear pins, instead a break away pully hub. When you overload the blower in 10" of deep slushy snow "mashed potato's", the pully can fly off the shaft! The fix will take a few minutes with a hand file and then a vise to press it back on. This time...

    Snow blower B748B on B 6100 D

Traylor- I'm not sure if you found anything useful in the assembly diagram I uploaded in a prior post in this very same thread? When I had the drum off to open the chain clearence for the new sproket, I did see the eccentric flange pattern. It looked to me that you can move the auger into or...

    1980 b7100

I'll stealing your hub repair before you get a pattent # on it! With that plow frame attaching all the way back to the 3pt hitch, you'd need something to keep the plow tracking straight and take any side loads. Those front sway chains look like they'll do the trick, but only when the plow is...

Found a B6100d in the woods

Amazing luck to find such a jem that was just left to rust away in the woods. Your missing the story why the old man didn't bring her in that night.

    B6000e questions

I think you can run some light truck 15" snow tire chains and will find they offer mountains of traction with the rear diff lock engaged. You might find chains for $75 to $150 per pair. I have tire chains for tilling and snowblowing on a B6000E and it works well, traction is not the problem...

    B6100 front Pto shaft size issue 27mm x 22 vs. 18mm x 22 spline

I think I'd considering a flexible shaft coupling somewhere in the assembly, similar to the OEM solution with a LoveJoy coupling. I'd be concerned that any amount of shaft misalignment will absolutuely destroy the spline connonction on the shafts. If your wondering about it, you might be able...

    No hour meter on B6100E?

Seems that most people want to replace the factory low pressure switch and indicator warning light with an oil pressure gage. Seems like a common thing for the switch to fail after 10 or more years of service, depending. For me, the light always catches my attention when its on, if I had to...

    Front pto electro clutch

I've only ever hear the clutch "clunk" when the engine is off, never when running. You check the belt tension and maybe the electrical "ground" contract through the bolts into the frame of the tractor?

    No hour meter on B6100E?

The B6000 has NO OIL FILTER or gages. Just a metal screen to keep any of the loose nuts that plunk into the oil pan from going back around and jaming up the old oil pump. If your lucky the idiot light goes out when you get it fired up. ...simplicity is bliss...

What is this under my seat?

I've wondered about this too, hey what's that nut for? I'm assuming this is the pressure line connection. Does anyone know if there is any place for a return to tank line? If there is no return then maybe you can you only plumb in a single actuatating cyclinder, and the open spool allows...

    Snow blower B748B on B 6100 D

Made some front tire chains with the old snowblower chain and the left over new chain from the box of 10ft I ordered. Seemed to work good in first storm. Only cost to me, now no longer have a spare chain for the snowblower. Follow UP 1/16/2011 Front chains are working real good, have not...

So What Kind of Stupid am I?

I'd say if you haven't set something on fire when your welding, you haven't been welding long enough. I made a mess of the tempered glass windscreen on an enclosed Case 560CK loader backhoe when welling the FEL arm back togther. Didn't think that the sparks hitting the glass some 8 feet back...

    Fabricating a wrench

That is a WICKED nice wrench! You could hang it up in the office. The few homemade tools I've made are just too ugly to in keep in sight after there done. I'm ususally the only one who knows that they are not scrap junk metal. Is the Toyata back in top condition?

    Snow blower B748B on B 6100 D

New chain, sprocket, Lovejoy Spider, Belt, and a homemade chain gaurd. The bigger sprokdrive et really gets that blower spinning! Itching to go and try it out. The chain gaurd is temporary until I get a feel for the overdrive with a load on it. If I satisfied with the new blower RPM and the...

    budget fork lift

Nice work. My 2cents. Add a pair of 55 gallon drums of water for a quick fill 3PH ballast box, to keep ALL the wheels on the ground. Quick story of mine, a local sawmill nearly busted my truck up when moving some timbers around to load the trailer. Guy got greedy trying to load too many in...

    Snow blower B748B on B 6100 D

You can pick these belts up at an Autozone. Also the roller chain is #40, the little sproket is 16 tooth and a .750 bore. Anyone have any feed back on stepping up the tooth count on the little driver on these? I thinking that 30% overdrive would be sweet, and make up for the diesel's 2900 rpm...

    Tiller Conversion for B6000 PTO

Recently replaced the primary chain set driven sproket. A 27tooth replaced the stock 40tooth. This thing now DIGGS! The issue I found was that the G4000 was made for a 2000rpm tractor PTO. With the B6000 only turning 1350rpm, this thing was over reduced, resulting in too few tine rpm. The...
