Rim Guard in the rears for sure...never had a problem with tire slip or rubber valves, but possible I guess. One thing I read about the newer BXs, that there is some kind of hydraulic component mounted under the rear fender (right hand side?) that could be damaged by chains?

I use chains on my 2370, rears only. And it was always a struggle to keep them tight; bungees, zip ties, headache. My solution was to lower the tire air pressure a bit, fit the chains as tight as I could without the bungees and stuff, then air the tires back up to spec. Problem solved.

I've been down this path. Loose single wire connection between alternator and starter. Could not tell by looking. Connector was not fully seated. Sometimes it would start and then finally not at all. I too bought a new battery and that was a 130 mistake.

I trained on the M60A3. Gunner on M48A5 for two years. Loved it. The OEM blades are ok, but I wind up with windrows of clippings which persist all season. My first Toro had a mulching deck, but that thing would clog like crazy even with dry grass. Soooo, I'm going Gator and see how it turns...

This might be a reach, but anybody in here ever hear about heated steering wheels for bx machines? I've poked around and found some kits for UTVs and sidexsides, even Kubota brands. I think these involve changing the steering wheel entirely. I guess there's a connection collar of some sort...
