    Looking to buy a BX23s

Rim Guard in the rears for sure...never had a problem with tire slip or rubber valves, but possible I guess. One thing I read about the newer BXs, that there is some kind of hydraulic component mounted under the rear fender (right hand side?) that could be damaged by chains?

    BX front wheel weights

I too wanted some weight out front, and after a lot of hand wringing purchased the correct rack and suitcase weights. Pricey, easy, works, never looked back.

    Tire chains BX23

I use chains on my 2370, rears only. And it was always a struggle to keep them tight; bungees, zip ties, headache. My solution was to lower the tire air pressure a bit, fit the chains as tight as I could without the bungees and stuff, then air the tires back up to spec. Problem solved.

    Rear Chains on

I have a set of the diamond pattern chains for my 2370. My machine has turf tires and given some snow conditions they clog up...the chains work very well. True, they can be a pain to put on, but I've mastered that. Actually, the forecast was for a mild winter here, so I left them off. So far...

    L3901 Battery keeps dying

I've been down this path. Loose single wire connection between alternator and starter. Could not tell by looking. Connector was not fully seated. Sometimes it would start and then finally not at all. I too bought a new battery and that was a 130 mistake.

    lifting Mower deck for cleaning

I've got a boom pole and have tried using it to lift the deck. Works, but not worth the trouble. Then I bought a set of axles for the deck. Now I just lift it up to the standing position. Works great for cleaning and blade maintenance, plus I can roll the deck around. Money well spent in my...

Mounting frame for drive on mower deck?

I paid extra for this treat... I've a BX2370 with the drive over mower deck option. Works ok. But to mount the snowblower, obviously the deck has to come off. BUT, You also have to remove the link/frame from the tractor. THIS IS A PITA! Getting it off isn't too bad, but putting back on...

Converting string trimmer to saw blade

I've been browsing, but the adapters are mostly for Stihl trimmers. Yes, mine is straight shaft, but it is a cable drive. The stuff I want to take out is Multiflora rose and small Buckthorn. I like those Renegade blades which should make short work of those plants. I plan to hit them with...

Converting string trimmer to saw blade

This is all new to me but here goes. I've got an older Homelite string trimmer, straight shaft, 25cc I believe, that I'd like to install a brush blade on. The trimmer is a cable drive and probably underpowered, but it should be ok for what I want. Has anybody here done this? I guess I need...

    Gator Blades for MMM?

I trained on the M60A3. Gunner on M48A5 for two years. Loved it. The OEM blades are ok, but I wind up with windrows of clippings which persist all season. My first Toro had a mulching deck, but that thing would clog like crazy even with dry grass. Soooo, I'm going Gator and see how it turns...

    Gator Blades for MMM?

Hi Folks, I've been looking and looking but not having any luck, maybe somebody can help out. I've got the RCK54D-26BX mower deck and it has the stock blades on it. I would like to get a set of mulching blades for it. I've had Gator blades for other machines and was pretty happy with them...

    BX Heated Steering Wheel?

Another solution. 300 bucks a bit more than the price of gloves though. Unfortunately my garage doesn't allow for any kind of cab, soft or hard...low ceiling.

    BX Heated Steering Wheel?

Thanks for the link, quite a selection, and cheaper than a heated wheel kit I'm sure. Quite a range of prices.

    BX Heated Steering Wheel?

Heated mittens, who da thunk. I didn't know there was such a thing. I have an old Polaris tucked away, but back then machines were fairly crude and for gear...pac boots and hunting jacket. I will definitely look into that, thanks for the tip. Still, a heated wheel would be cool from a gadget...

    BX Heated Steering Wheel?

This might be a reach, but anybody in here ever hear about heated steering wheels for bx machines? I've poked around and found some kits for UTVs and sidexsides, even Kubota brands. I think these involve changing the steering wheel entirely. I guess there's a connection collar of some sort...
