Advice for possible first modern tractor purchase

Well like I said, any of your options will satisfy you and be a drastic improvement from the old Ford. 8k is nice to keep too, but these new orange rigs hold value and always seem to pay for themselves. Look into parts too, since that was mentioned. I had quite a few things that I "rednecked" on...

Advice for possible first modern tractor purchase

I'm no expert and a bit of a been here, but I have a bit of tractor buying experience. First rig was a jubilee, basically got it free. Loved it. Did alot of work for me, but on too many occasions it couldn't do what I needed ( mainly winter tasks ). I ran low on firewood one year and needed to...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Skidded a nice pile of tops out to sell for firewood logs. The frozen ground made me not hate my R4's as much... But I'm patiently waiting to hear that the new AG's are in !!

    AG tires

Bit the bullet. Dealer made a good offer on a swap for new rubber. Had to take it. I need to get in the woods and couldn't wait.... AG's are on the way ! Yee haw

    New L2501

Was offered too, at an additional price but was assured the R4's were almost as good as AG's for mud traction.... What a crock. See my ad in classified section, the one where I'm trying to trade my tires for AG's. Hope they take care of you as u bought yours new, mine was used so I got what came...

    AG tires

I know it's a long shot, but I'm looking to trade my R4's for some AG's. I need 14.9x24 and 8.3x16. My R4's are loaded and tubed ( rim guard) rear with 70% tread and front's are brand new. I'll grab size soon. Currently on L3710. I'm just outside Buffalo and open to a drive if needed. As far as...

    Out with the old...

I have the dealer looking in to AG's for me. Amongst a few others they had me convinced that R4's would do 80% of what AG's can. I strongly disagree. I can't have them... Hope it works out cause these things are useless to me. As far as diy windows for cab, I prob won't start that project...

    Out with the old...

Anybody know a good source for used rims/tires ? I see a few large salvage yards out there... Not sure who's worth dealing with.

    Out with the old...

It's definately a Curtis. After calling them direct they do not have it, or a part number. For a company with a solid hold on the cab market, they are horrible to deal with. I'll be trying to bend plexi at some point, but not on the priority list now.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Unloaded my New to me rig off the trailer and tested out the R4's in the slick stuff.... Went OK but man is it sloppy out !

    Out with the old...

Well, finally let my baby go and moved up a couple decades. It was time to let the gear drive go and get HST. So far, very happy with my purchase! Only downsides of new rig are the r4's as I'm an AG guy. The rear windows are gone in cab and I can't seem to find any available, but have intentions...

Install location for block heater - L3600???

Just read the review on the link. I would have to say you should be able to find somewhere to stick it. Even if its up underneath somewhere. A little heat goes a long way

Install location for block heater - L3600???

Exactly it. Had it for my yanmar which was extremely finiky in cold temps. My l295 seems to start fine so far, haven't used it yet this winter ( mild ). Yes, I put it on the lower part of the block.
