Kubota Advice: Buy and Fix up L5030HST, or Get Newer TYM?

I will put this real simply - you are living in the past and have an unrealistic budget based on your stated needs. In 20 years a 20 year old tractor will be a high hour 40 year old tractor. You are going to see more down time and spend more time and money trying to restore, maintain, and...

    L2850/BF500 Pressure test question

Thats a poor test point and setup because it is presenting you with confusing results that you cant interperet. Do not proceed with adjustmentd or "repairs" until you understand what you are seeing. With no valve actuation you are seeing the static cylinder "hold" pressure created by the weight...

    Hydraulic Fitting questions

Let the fun begin :) The losder is the the primary system relief on that tractor/loader combination. It has to be to prevent fully deadheading the pump at the loader or backhoe which are upstream of the 3pt relief. The loader relief sets the max pressure the loader, backhoe, and 3pt can ever...

    Hydraulic Fitting questions

To test presdure you just connect gauge to backhoe supply and start tractor. Thats the pressure for ALL valves in the system. I looked at the loader valvd parts list and it does not look like that relief is adjustable Dan

    BH92 Hydraulic Thumb

If thats news to the dealer consider finding another..... As Russell said. Disconnect both hoses with grapple open. If it closes the cylinder is leaking. If not the valve is leaking. Unless of course there is fluid on the ground. Thats a whole nuther problem.... Dan

    L3650 Loader Trouble When Lowering

I thought we covered 3pt first thing. Oh well. Your 3pt lift needs adjustment. There is a feedback linkage that automagically kicks the position control valve into neutral when the lift arms reach top of travel. If it does not do that the pump is deadheaded at full system pressure and bad...

    L3650 Loader Trouble When Lowering

Excellent. Make sure tgat auxuluary vakve is fully in neutral and ghe couplers are securely latched. The fact your 3pt is working still bothers me. Make sure the position control lever is full down abd draft control if present is disengaged.

    L3650 Loader Trouble When Lowering

Whew! OK, back on track. See if it lowers OK in the float position. If so the problem is either one of the couplers or something down stream. I assume the 3pt is working OK? Any loader third function, remote valves, or backhoe?

    L3650 Loader Trouble When Lowering

Hmmm. Thats an oldie and I dont know the details of thst valve. Even so I would expect a float position. If you move the joystick to full lower and push hard does it slip into another position? I dont want to get distracted by this but its important to understand how the lower circuit works if...

    L3650 Loader Trouble When Lowering

You wont find anything about power beyond in your manusl. Yes I find it odd the beavior is different with engune off. Keep the position control lever in the full down position when testing the loader. Every Kubota loader I have ever seen has a float position. What is the make and model of your...

    L3650 Loader Trouble When Lowering

Engine on or iff shoild not not matter. Classic symptoms of an obstruction in the power beyond circuit. Raise loader to about 3 feet and try to lower by moving joystick to float position.. Dan

    FEL slowly goes down.

Not exactly. When a spool is transitioned out of neutral there is a brief moment in time when the pressure at the work port thats being uncovered may be higher than the pressure being built on the pump side port thats being closed. The load check prevents reverse flow from work port to pump...

    la526 loader lifts slowly

It would be helpful if you told us if the hoe is mounted or not 🙄 This loader issue is a common problem with Kubota tractors and frequently caused by a downstream blockage in the hydraulic circuit. Check your backhoe hydraulic couplers to make sure they are fully seated. If the backhoe is...
