Thx folks. I ended up with one from the dealership which is supposed to be a private label interstate battery. looks like my old one was cracked and leaking acid from the bottom…the steel at the mounting location confirms it.

My MX4800 cranks too slow to start without the help of a jump battery now that it is cold outside. Any recommendations for a high quality, long lasting replacement battery? The one that is in my machine has no markings on it so I have no idea what size / spec it is and I don't know the OEM...

Is there a way to clear it if it is the “A” code? My MX4800 wouldn’t start due to a cold / weak battery this morning but started fine after I put my jump battery on it but now I have 0606 code stuck on the panel.

I have an opportunity to pickup a used Bush Hog 50-06 rear blade for a good price but it is listed as being designed for a 4WD max horsepower of 40 but I have 48. Is this implement a light-duty one that is likely to get bent up or am I likely to be OK? Thanks

Thx folks. The back and forth method has started to work…the seat now moves about 1/2” and hopefully will loosen up now that I have broken it free and flooded it with Kroil

I am looking for suggestions on how to free up the seat rail on my new-to-me MX4800. The level that is used to adjust the seat works just fine but the rail that it is attached to seems to be seized to the frame. I have sprayed Kroil on the rail several times and it has had a week to penetrate...

FitRite sure seems like the way to go but the lead-time is almost 6-months but I will need to be clearing and grading within 3-months. Are there other options out there similar to FitRite?

You are correct...i don't know the specifics but I do want to be able to hookup a seed drill, operate an hydraulic rear blade and install a top & tilt kit.

I'm new to tractors and hydraulics so i think a kit may be best
