    Bent Top Link

I said to use a press in the previous sentence did not mean to imply to heat in in place. I would not attempt any straightening without using heat and a press to control the bending/straightening.

Obviously crazy Craig's list tractor adds?

I got a call yesterday from a guy with a deep voice telling me that my Social Security account had been closed. Oh crapola !!!

Mine will screw out but of course they are not OEM Kubota. You could "practice" with the unbent end to try to determine what needs to be done. After that you could straighten out the other end in a press. Heck, maybe you can heat and straighten it and not need to do anything else but that...

Sometime it's not the threaded end that bends. But even that is repairable. ;)

    Sawmilling

I finished sawing framing lumber for a new home yesterday; 2X4's, 6's, 12's plus 10X10 posts. A total of 13,907 board feet. The stack in the back is over 12' and the next is over 11'. All of the lifts are 48" wide. Oh yes, and a 4X15 beam. The longest lumber is 20' and the Oak...

Speaking of masks, there was a lady who wrote a letter to the editor recently telling the mask complainers to "suck it up" , as the bra she wears daily is way more uncomfortable than a mask, and another friend sent an email saying that people with big noses are NOT excused from wearing masks...

    Replacing hydraulic filter bracket housing

Your question will certainly be on my mind and hopefully make me more careful when I am doing clearing work. It's amazing how much important stuff is more exposed on the Kubota than on the old JD.

Gear oil vs UDT in front axle

A good rule of thumb is to never change from one type of oil/lube to another, especially in an engine and more especially in an older engine.

A little girl complained to her father, “Daddy, I wish I had a little sister!” Trying to be funny, her father joked, “But, honey, you already have a sister.” Confused, the toddler asked, “I do?” “Sure,” her dad said, smiling. “You don’t see her because every time you come in the front door, she...

    Are all Quick hitches equal?

I have a Speeco that does not have an adjustable top attachment. I modified some of my implements but some were not modification friendly so the QH had to be removed to attach them. It's heavy and awkward. I finally grew weary (read older), and resorted to Pat's Easy Change on both tractors...
