    Centre of balance question

Wow, cool company! One thing to consider (if you haven’t already). A 4802 is not just wider, but way longer than a bx. If you’re working in tight spaces, maneuvering it (like, turning it around) may be a PITA. I went for a B2301 to an L4701, and sometimes I definitely notice it’s less...

    Tractor advice for 40+ acers

I agree. I had a B2301 for a few years before trading in in to go bigger. There are some benefits to doing it that way. Like learning the limits of the smaller machine, the appreciating the limits of the larger.

Took Possession of My New Tractor

Congrats on the new machine! I got my light kit here: https://www.ropslights.com/ I wouldn’t call it a cheap option, but they are nice and easy to install.

    Firewood Lifting Capacity on BX

I suppose I use it for a few other things besides moving firewood around!

    Firewood Lifting Capacity on BX

It cost my like almost forty grand moving from my B to an L4701. You can buy a lot of IBC totes to half fill for that kind of coin. Shoot, with the monthly payment alone I could buy nine clean empty totes per month!

Towing a 14' utility trailer for a hayride?

Oh, here’s a video of when I did it 🤩

    Wheel Spacer Question

I’ve wondered this too. Obviously wider axels are more stable (basic physics, right?), but how much more stable is two inches wider exactly? Two inches doesn’t seem like much. But every bit counts I guess? I know my L series feels way less tippy than my B series did.

Towing a 14' utility trailer for a hayride?

I once towed a landscape trailer carrying probably a dozen and a half adults with by B2301 (using drawbar). The only part that was scary was turning downhill on grass I felt the trailer push me just a little. That I would avoid in the future! If I were in your shoes, I would do it. (Except I...

Looking For Advice On Addons For My New Tractor.

Oh, and DEFINITELY one of these: https://locknlube.com/collections/locknlube-grease-coupler I had lots of headache and mess greasing before I got this.

Looking For Advice On Addons For My New Tractor.

Maybe wheel spacers to widen the rear wheels and make it more stable on hills? My first tractor was a B2301, and I often felt nervous about tipping on it. Probably never came close, but I really didn’t like the feeling. I really wish I had a bucket level indicator on my first tractor. I found...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Scored a bunch of sweet free 5x12 and 5x10 pallets. Forks came in handy. Best upsale ever (from the salesman when I bought my first tractor). I plan to use these to stack air drying lumber coming off my chainsaw mill.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I’m in Rensselaer County; all my sugar maples look kinda crappy this year.

New 4 in 1 Bucket Paint Damage

Maybe you could send the salesman an email with a photo explaining (briefly) that you’re disappointed your brand new bucket arrived with so much paint damage, but without making a demand/ask, and just see what he says? I personally wouldn’t return it, but I would consider mentioning it to see if...

Salesman gave me a Free Hat.

You know, I got two free hats, one Kubota and one Emerich (the dealer) when I bought my B2301 (with loader/forks/back blade). When I traded it in a few years later for an L4701 (with loader, backhoe, back blade, snow pusher), I was really looking forward to a crisp new hat. But I got nothin’!

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

They say it “heats twice”, but sometimes it’s more like four or five times! I’ve gotten things fairly mechanized for just being a homeowner burning a few cords per year. I order log length. Grab logs with the grapple to move them. Lift the logs the backhoe to cut with the chainsaw. Pick up...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Cut some more firewood today. I feel very far behind. Just about done with wood for this coming winter, buy really aught to get started for next — my Jotul likes it very dry.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Used the hoe to hold up logs for cutting in to rounds. Kinda annoying jumping on and off the machine, but very nice on the back compared to cutting on the ground. Plus I need to do everything I can to justify the purchase!

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Last few days I’ve been testing out a new spot I cleared and leveled for wood related hobbies. Cut some firewood, and grabbed some logs from my brothers property I’m going to mill for him. Between the forks, grapple, and backhoe, I’m getting good at moving wood around!

    2502 (later turbo) vs 3902

Oh, you sure did. I guess I went to bed too late and woke up too early haha. My bad. (And when I see other people not totally read a post thoroughly before replying I judge them. I should be less judgmental!)
