Something a little closer to Orange.

Ah man you certainly had some issues with it. Too bad you weren't closer I'd have taken it off your hands. I have a JD '40' and a '420' as well as the 'A'. The '40' is going to need a rebuild sometime in the next decade, but it gets about 2 hours of use a year so it can last a long time at...

Something a little closer to Orange.

Nice tractors. Not sure what the problem with the "B" is, but the "M" is a nice addition but know it's a different size than the "B" - the "M" would be somewhere between a JD "A" and a "G". Anyways I have a few 2-cyl JD tractors and my "A" has become unreliable as well - need to tear into it...

    Howdy from Cheyenne Wyoming

I have cruise control on my L2501 - it was around a $220 option. You might be able to get the dealership to deliver the tractor at no or low cost.

    Howdy from Cheyenne Wyoming

Bob, I too recommend you look at a L2501/2502. If your budget is a hard $25k, can you put a good portion of that down a do a small financing amount? I find the 2501 is the best compromise between size and power. My next tractor will be a much larger cabbed machine but the 2501 will...

Mudflaps, rock guards, gravel guard, rock tamers, etc. - what do you use?

How have you been - Enjoying the spring up in the Big sky country? When I first saw that last picture, I thought those were some awesome tailpipes. I think I'd rather have the flaps on the truck as well, instead of something on the trailer. I keep telling the wife I'm looking for a set of flaps...

    Recovered B8200 - Found abandoned

Great work, what did you have to do to get it running, the injection pump was bad?

New to me BX23S w/ Backhoe

Were you the guy looking to buy a skid steer last fall? How did that go? It's pretty country down that way. This place can have its moments but at least we all seem to like tractors and guns.

    County Line Tiller....

I looked at one at TSC a couple weeks ago and it clearly said "Made in India" on the top. CountyLine is a TSC brand name, and they (TSC) sources items from around the world and sells under their house brand.

    County Line Tiller....

Do you live where there's a Rural King? They sell a USA-made tiller with gear drive for less than the CountyLine that TSC carries which is made in India. I've been looking for one as well, it's on the short list of purchases. Hoping to score a good deal at an auction, else I'll buy the one at RK.

New to me BX23S w/ Backhoe

Welcome, saw your story over on the "scary gun" site and I'd say you got a good deal. What part of FL are you in? I ordered my L2501 WSM on ebay, and found an older Kubota WSM binder there as well. I prefer to have the hard copy to use when doing work.

MX6000 - Fuel savings running at 2,220 rpm vs. 2,700 rpm

I always run my tractor at idle unless it stalls doing the function needed, or PTO. God bless diesel engine torque.

    Work secrets not passed down

I've been in a couple situations where I've been asked to train my replacement. The answer is always no, and last time I said no I was mentally prepared to walk out. Management backed down. Nothing I have is written down, and it won't be either.

    So….. calling people ANYTHING RUDE!

I thought you were out cutting firewood? Gotta buy and burn that 2cycle gas before all those folks currently in Davos who want to ban oil refineries decide fuel is only for private jets, not chainsaws or tractors.

Anyone here own a boat, or know a lot about boats?

We live in a neighborhood with a private 400 ac lake. Its boating season 9 mths a year. If we put 50 hrs on the motor a year its a lot. Pack cash and Sig and sounds like it will be ok.

Anyone here own a boat, or know a lot about boats?

Yamaha is absolutely top tier. I would think it would be good 3-5K hours as a rough estimate, depending. I see a lot of people running wide open, like you I'm a diesel guy and prefer the minimum RPM to get a task done, my boat cruises best around 3500 RPM so it should last a good while. Keep...

Anyone here own a boat, or know a lot about boats?

Very nice boat, Robalo is a good mfg. Looks like it has the Yamaha digital system, which is a very nice control setup. I'm a "Mercury" guy, but Yamaha and Suzuki would also be strongly desirable motors. A 150HP setup will be fine for what you've been describing, I have a deck boat with a...

    Coupler Help

The part numbers I gave you the 8n is on the grapple, 8s on the tractor. The two on the grapple connect fine to each other but will not cleanly connect onto the tractor.

    Coupler Help

Thanks again Dan, but I can’t get them to couple. The two on the grapple connect fine. Going to order two more to put on the tractor side and hope this issue is resolved. What a pain.

They do compress but it feels like they won’t go all the way. Oil does drip out when they’re attached but not secured. for one pair, these are the numbers the grapple side is ag12f-08n The side is ag12m-08s
