Why won’t my BX2380 mower deck lock in top position?

Are you wanting it to stay in the top position after you've turned the tractor off? If so, from what I understand, since the deck is heavy, and the hydraulic fluid is free to move through the system, gravity will simply drop the mower deck once it has had time to settle. I have the same thing...

mower height adjustment stuck on bx2380

Thanks for the assist with this, since it was on the 3-point hydro arms, I was able to easily raise it up, drop the legs, but then struggled to get the pressure off, so threw a car jack under the bagger assembly, raised it up, shortened both the arms and then it was in place. The pto connection...

mower height adjustment stuck on bx2380

Makes a lot of sense. I did get some extra bits and pieces (another fixed link arm) since I bought this used - maybe I can figure it out, I got the bagger mounted, although incorrectly, without the manual, lol. I see your photos, I do have those hard mounted ears, so should be able to figure it...

mower height adjustment stuck on bx2380

Super interesting, I'll have to take a look at this set up after I get done with work today. I'll also grab a few photos of it 'set up' using the normal 3-point mounting - it has worked for two mows now, so maybe its a change for next year, unless it does indeed cause any issues..

mower height adjustment stuck on bx2380

Very interesting - I don't have the instructions for this, and do have it mounted via the 3-point hitch arms - but found this video () that shows it in a fixed position. Do you or anyone have the manual for this thing, wondering if I'm causing it harm the way I have it mounted?

New BX2380 bucket meets ground unevenly....

Gross... sucks you'll have to keep being a squeaky wheel to get them to make it right..

mower height adjustment stuck on bx2380

Yeah.. this was somewhat infuriating for me, now twice, first time was to raise it, and the second to lower it (figured gravity would help lower) - but now it's pretty easy, although I have to watch it when raising it all the way, the grass keeper starts to rub/push on the back fender. Glad to...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

ROPS up is just extra time - the Ryobi does not have that to consider. 4wd on the hills, as I had the tractor run on me the one time I used 2wd to move dirt - maybe overly cautious? I also don't want to tear up the yard, and turn in 4wd does just that. I was running at 2,500 RPM in rabbit mode...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I mowed for the first time today with the BX2380 - I'm not sure it was any faster, nor did it seem to do a better job than my Ryobi riding mower (https://www.ryobitools.com/products/details/46396017758). It was also a lot more prep, remove the FEL, put the ROPS up, change from 2 to 4 wheel...

mower height adjustment stuck on bx2380

This helped me understand () you need to have the rear pto in the top position to enable lowering or raising of the deck with the height adjustment knob.

New BX2380 bucket meets ground unevenly....

Curious if you would be completely screwed here, had you paid cash? From what I gather KTAC is only for financed Kubotas? But glad to hear that they are at least making some progress and have an idea (saddle arms) as to what the issue is, but strange they haven't just gone ahead and fixed it...

Rear tire spacers and weights for BX2380?

I can confirm that 2" spacers (on each side) will work on the BX2380 with a 60" mower deck and PTO driven grass catcher just clears the rear tires (if you have one of those as well). I put the spacers on during the winter, so not sure how much better it made it for slopes, but it seems very...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I am currently running loaded tires, mid-mount mower deck, and the power bagger as ballast (~450-500 lbs) and 2" spacers on both sides - the tractor never felt overloaded or even remotely tippy. I only tried running 2wd on the third trip from the pile to the bed, and its one of the shallowest...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I didn't think of dropping the bucket, really, I don't think I had time to think at all, as it happened in the blink of an eye, but I'll add that to the database (my brain.. but doesn't hold much data, lol). And the BX only has two gears, turtle and rabbit, I was in turtle with the treadle...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Learned to NEVER, EVER, NEVER take the tractor out of 4x4 mode when using the FEL to move dirt down a hill... Brakes were zero help, tractor ran on me, and nearly rolled forward (pivoting over the front axle), scared the crap out of me - lesson learned, oh, and make sure the seatbelt is used...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Got around to pulling the skid plate off, putting the mid-mount mower on, and adding the pto driven grass catcher... what a pain in the a** ... With the wheel spacers (2" on each side) getting the grass catcher mounted was a test in patience, not sure that thing was ever intended to work with a...

Kubota recommends being easy on the tractor the first 50 hours (should I even mow?)

Strongly disagree, I just did a 1k oil change on a new vehicle, even though the dealer said it wasn't part of my maintenance package, and I'd have to pay out of pocket. This guy also disagrees - change that oil -

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Didn't see any leaking gear oil or even any damp looking areas around the seals - not sure on the correct level, it was a lot more gear oil than i expected - I took a 16oz beer can and cut it down to about 1/3 the size and was able to get that under the drain plug, which that filled up twice and...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I've yet to even hook it up to the tractor, which I purchased in November and was in snow mode (rear snowblower attached), so it's likely sat since mid-October (or before) since being run. I wasn't sure if some dirty looking gear oil was 'normal' or if it could be a seal going bad? Given the...
