MX6000 - Fuel savings running at 2,220 rpm vs. 2,700 rpm

High engine rpm's do not equate directly to engine exhaust heat. Engine load or fuel delivery is what makes engine heat. Run a diesel at rated rpm all day long with no load and it will not run that much hotter than at or off idle.

    HST intermittent reverse

If the linkage and shaft is moving freely and completely I would remove the forward and reverse check, high pressure relief valve, inspect the valve ass'y and seat inside the housing and swap them.

Methonol and water vs rim guard

He was using barrels as a sort of table or saw horse setup cutting 1/2x6 bar stock. The flame got close to the blue poly barrel and melted through. The barrel was not clearly labeled so he was not aware of the danger he had placed himself in. I am pretty sure he not do it with intent.

Methonol and water vs rim guard

One of my coworkers was killed when he accidently cut into a partially full drum of windshield washer fluid with a cutting torch. So it is flammable and very dangerous. Firestone explicitly calls out not to use alcohol based ballast in their tires for this reason.

    HST Issue - Jerky Motion

After reading that this model has what Kubota labels as Hydro Dual-Speed, which I am going to assume is a 2 speed motor in the hydrostatic transmission. This could definitely be is causing the complaint. Can you duplicate the issue easily or is it very sporadic? Do you see any common theme on...

    HST Issue - Jerky Motion

I don't have a copy of the 40 series tractors WSM so I cant say what content it has or how useful it is.

    HST Issue - Jerky Motion

Basically the HST is a variable displacement hydraulic pump and a fixed displacement motor running in a closed loop. Variable current is sent via PWM signal to the proportional control valves. This directs charge oil to either side of the servo piston increasing displacement of the pump. More...

    HST Issue - Jerky Motion

it's getting to the point where you really need the WSM to diagnose further. And as far as gauges you can probably do everything with a 500psi gauge. Charge and servo pressure are the major pressures you would need to look at

    HST Issue - Jerky Motion

Does the issue occur only in forward direction or in both forward and reverse? Have you tried adjusting the sensitivity of the HST through the display?

BX2660 Three point lift piston / cylinder scarred

The white "plastic" ring everyone is referencing is not a seal. It is called a backup ring and it's purpose is to support and prevent extrusion of the o-ring into the gap between the piston and bore under pressure. They can be found scarf-cut or not and there are some that have multiple wraps...

Using vacuum to not lose hydrostatic fluid?

The concept has been around a long while. I have one of these but you can find cheaper generic versions if you look...

BT600 backhoe swings right but not back left

No the lever assemblies pivot in the cover assembly that bolts to the frame of the step assembly.

BT600 backhoe swings right but not back left

Yes any contamination in the cap can prevent some movement of the spool in that direction. Clean it up and reassemble. I would coat the spring assembly lightly with oil before installing the can to help with rust. Was the screw that holds the spring to the spool loose or did you remove it? That...

    Def delete question

Oh and by the way lean or rich is a description of mixture and does not apply to a diesel engine as been mentioned. All diesels should be running in an oxygen positive condition at almost all times

    Def delete question

The main issue here is that the emissions have been deleted on your machine. And I assume you have been a party to this as well as you dealer. I would not admit this by the way. The OEM will have nothing to do with this scenario as it is in violation of Federal law. They may admonish the dealer...

BT600 backhoe swings right but not back left

What I would recommend is to make certain that there is nothing in the linkage causing the lack of travle of the spool as has been pointed out by disconnecting the linkage and verify it moves freely. Then I would reconnect the linkage and remove the centering spring cap on the bottom of the...

    Need a supplier?

You should install them the other way with the cable through the side locks not the loose end. Width looks OK to me as well. Do they have adjuster links in the side chain to change the side chain length? Trygg states that you may have to fit their chains to your tires as well. I have a set and...
