Well this is cool because I am getting ready to change out the fuel filters on my BX. I watched a youtube video on bleeding the fuel system and the presenter cracked open the connection where the fuel line connects to the fuel rail (or whatever it is) and then turned the key to "ON". I guess...

Owner's manual states: "If the fuel line is removed, be sure to properly bleed the fuel system." hmm ... i just looked up the procedure and it basically says "fill the tank and turn the switch to 'ON' for 30 seconds" :rolleyes:

Matt--that's interesting ... I wasn't aware about BX's tendencies for clogging fuel outlets. Is this all BXs, including the 80 series? What causes that? Also, I like your theory about the system's not being bled after the fuel filter change.

Today I learned that I'm glad I never found a bunch of IBC totes to store firewood in because my BX23S wouldn't have been able to lift them on forks. Pretty effing brilliant of you to use the bottle as a rain cover. I never would have thought of that.

Color me jealous! I thought about using IBC totes for firewood a couple of years ago, but I haven't found a local source anywhere close to that price. What a score.

Looks like you dogged a bullet. Hearing the sound of the casting break must have been a heart-stopper. What do you mean by "check the bed gap"? Is that the front-to-back movement, parallel to the shaft axis of rotation? Like what a thrust bearing would adjust? Also, my condolences. --eric

Oh yeah ... forgot that little tidbit. So why does it seem like I have to increase the engine speed past a certain amount before the FEL will lift a heavy load? Am I just misperceiving what's actually happening?
