Re: Backward bucket

Steam shovel type setup is very useful in popping trees out of the ground,

Re: Please Help!! L2850 Fuel Problem

I would start with treating fuel with biocide / algaecide.

One common issue is some debri getting caught in the inlet to the fuel filter.

A failing lift pump can also cause issues, but it...

Re: Advice on this connection....

NEVER, pipe dope with pipe thread, taper seat, O-ring, are all used.
Teflon tape can get into components and cause major issues.

Check with a dealer as some of the older disconnects had a fault...

Re: B4200 Safety Switch / Switches

The clutch pedal return spring is a torsion spring on the shaft, not the traditional extension spring.
You'll have to pull the clutch fork rod to replace it.

Re: 1850 steering problem

Yep you have a steering cylinder that's leaking internally.

Re: Oil pressure B6100

Like others have said, it's almost always a cam plug, and it's a simple and cheap fix.
To confirm put a mechanical gauge on it, if it's there, but low, then it's more than likely the cam plug.

Re: Cheap and basic SSQA snow plow?

Not an issue at all, keep the trip springs set light and grease it regularly.

If your doing parking lots look at a snow pusher instead, much faster than a regular plow. ;)

Re: lighter duty tree shear recommendations?

You normally don't want to use a tree shear on a tractor, No operator protection.

Anything from a branch to a whole tree can come back on you in a second and ruin your whole day or life, yea there...

Re: 1.3m Power Harrow on a B7100?

You need to go to the power harrow's makers site and see what the power requirements are.

Just from what I know, I would say it's probably going to tax the HP too much!

Re: Hydraulic fluid amount

Neither the three point or the FEL will make enough of a difference in the fluid levels to make an issue.

The manuals are 90% of the time wrong about the fills, too many variables.

Always go by...

Re: Plow Blade for L245DT

There is three easy ways to do it.

Get a bolt on blade.
Get a pin on unit that will pin on in place of the bucket.
Or better yet do as I said earlier and get a SSQA blade and a SSQA adapter for...

Re: Plow Blade for L245DT

The reason I asked if you had a FEL, you can put a blade in place of the bucket, it's a better option than removing the loader (which can be a difficult task on older models) and using a dedicated...

Re: Necessity is the mother of invention

It's a cast iron head to a 6 cylinder large diesel.
It's a cast off from a friend
It worked rather well because it wasn't too bulky.

Re: Tachometer on L245DT Not Working

The Tach is 100% mechanical, no electric involved, it's cable driven off the front of the engine, start at the Tach and work forward, broken cables and broken drive boxes, are the normal issues
