You'll be surprised at how useful the pallet forks will be. Depending on how much snow you get all at once, and how windy it is, you will probably want a blower. Used 3-pt blowers aren't insanely expensive, especially if you live in a snowy region. If you're over by the lake you want a snow blower for sure. Looking over your shoulder for a half-hour every week isn't ideal, but I don't think it's killed anybody yet.
Do get the rear remotes--it was a good day when I graduated to the hydraulic chute. The old rope pull was not much fun. With the hydraulic I can blow both ways, with the hand adjust it was easier to go back up the driveway and then come back for the 2nd pass. I love my HST for blowing snow --keep pto rpms up while changing tractor speed makes a huge difference.
