I’ve been using a 15 gallon 12 volt sprayer on a shop built 3 pt carrier. I want to switch to a small spray rig with a pto pump. What are folks using on a B7100?
I use a 55 gallon Argi-Chem sprayer with PTO driven pump with my B3350. It might work on my B1750 but the lift arms may well interfere with the pump hoses, and front weights would be needed with a full tank.I’ve been using a 15 gallon 12 volt sprayer on a shop built 3 pt carrier. I built a 50 gallon 3pt sprayer for my B7200. Thats a bit more weight than the tractor is happy with onI’ve been using a 15 gallon 12 volt sprayer on a shop built 3 pt carrier. I want to switch to a small spray rig with a pto pump. What are folks using on a B7100?
I second the ~30 gallon suggestion. I built this 65 gallon sprayer for my B7200 and it is more than the little tractor can effectively handle when full. I started filling it half full after a few tries with a full tank.Get a tank of your choosing, and a PTO pump at your local farm store, plumb it and go. I'd think a 30 gallon tank would be about all you'd want. Water at 8# per gallon adds up fast.
Good advice, made my own. Can purchase a small spray boom separately. I used a 55 gallon Plastic drum w/ a threaded bung cap. Need adapter for cap & inexpensive garden hose manifold for connections. Obviously can't fill the drum (weight !) & you'll need mounting brackets. Mine sat on FEL forks w/ ratchet. strap. Hoses routed to pump. Brackets for boom, front or rear mount. Requires some ingenuity & fabrication talent, but less expensive (less your time) than factory unit. Caution, the PTO pumps may exceed the GPM max of nozzles. I used low engine speed, higher trans gear, & was ok. Depending upon application, I had port for spot spraying. Using a "fire hose" style nozzle, I could treat a 50+ ft radius, just dragging a short hose w/ the tractor stationary. Lot of possibilities.Get a tank of your choosing, and a PTO pump at your local farm store, plumb it and go. I'd think a 30 gallon tank would be about all you'd want.
