I ordered some Bora wheel spacers for my L2501 with R4 tires, which I will need to remove to install spacers. Does anyone have an accurate weight for a filled 15-19.5 tire? Filled with WW fluid. I tried searching here and elsewhere without a definitive answer. Thanks, all!!

I filled the back tires on my B2601 and reguardless of the tire weight I jacked one side at a time so the tire just left the ground. Very easy to handle a heavy tire if you don't lay it down.

Are you concerned about handling them? I just installed a set of those on my L2501 with the R14 so they should be about the same weight. I asked here and was able to do it by myself. They were not bad at all to keep upright and roll forward. I am 68 and not as strong as I used to be so I asked here too. Was only hampered by not being able to rotate hub when out of gear as I have a DT not the HST. After words I described it and someone suggested maybe it was in 4wd and it was! I will see if I can find the thread I wrote. It was only about a month ago.

That is my concern, thanks for the reply and the link. You give me more confidence that I can handle them!

201# for an unfilled tire, it looks like. I took mine off and used my BH77 along with some supporting jack stands to lift the rear just enough to slide the rears off when I did my rear Bro-tek spacers. And be sure to take it out of 4WD so you can rotate them as needed to get everything lined up good for getting them back on.

Maybe this will help

enter you tire size in the interactive tire fill tool and it will give you the gallons

For your tire its either 24 or 29 gallons in them multiply that by the 7.6 lbs for winshield washer fluid or 8.6 for water and you will have the approximate weight for the fluid.

i will just use 29 gallons as worst case scenario that makes 220 lbs just for liquid plus the 201 for tire thats 421lbs is minimum weight. i couldnt find a rim weight so total weight is probally more than 500lbs.

Easy peasy to R&R your tractors rear wheels/tires. Just keep them balanced close to straight UP. Just take your rime & be very careful.
Back when I was employed at JD dealership in the early 70's JD had a warranty program to change rear axle/final drive housings on several JD 4430 tractors(125 hp) from one side to the other. We had to R&R by hand liquid filled 18.4X38 rear tires.

8.33 lbs. per gallon is the correct weight for water!
7.6 lbs. per gallon is correct for WW fluid.

rule #1 ALWAYS have a CLEAR path to run AWAY from a falling tire !
Loaded tires are HEAVY and AWKWARD

rule #2 ALWAYS have a short 2by4 handy, to toss under the falling tire !
you toss it under the falling tire, makes it easier for 2-3 guys to get it upright again.
