Awesome!! Looking forward to reading your thoughts on it and any update on the hose routing would be interesting.
I did take a peek under the shrink wrap. Hoses look much better. Looks as they added 2 90’s on each cylinder to get rid of the funky bend in the hose, that was rubbing the C channel.

Ended up taking it to work and unloading. The guys were very impressed. Hoses look much better. And I noticed the new pressed C has teeth cut into it too. Will probably get some hose cover to put over everything before I get fluid in the lines.

Here is the old 55. Looks like they are using the same cylinders, but getting Grizzly to turn the end caps so the ports face the C channel and using proper length hose.

I'd bet the hose on the 55 is actually the same on the 60. That's where the extra bend is coming from.

I am glad they addressed a problem with what I am sure is otherwise a fine product.

If the past posts are to be believed (people posting e-mails from EAA), discussions here on OTT about the hose routing issues caused EAA to finally correct a problem Dave Knows How identified years ago. OTT should be proud.

People, like myself, that did not ignore or excuse the issue say - you are welcome.

I do like the C-channel they're now using to replace the DOM tubing, and the hose routing does look good.

You really think you did this? Thanks!

That wicked 60 house routing looks the same as the 55 I just got. My hoses are naked though. No extra protection.

Google the definition of narcissistic personality disorder, read this entire thread and it'll all make sense. Here are two traits of narcissists that are clearly exhibited here.
  • Expect to be recognized as superior even without achievements that warrant it
  • Exaggerate achievements and talents

Name calling - really, it is just so devoid of content/utility.

It is unfortunate that EA did not fix/upgrade their grapple hose routing before you had to spend hours working on your new grapple. Maybe it was your interaction with EA plus Dave knows How and OTT posts by many that finally pushed them to correct a problem?

As I said, I believe that OTT should be proud of its role in bettering a product.

Just talked to EA on grappler ordered 6/7. They belive it will ship next week.
Finally!!
I like EA products, but in future may have to consider delivery time, before next purchase.

Not True with respect to Amazon, just not true. I purchased a $2000 articulating bedframe in August. Amazon did NOT charge my credit card until it was shipped in October.

Probably another reason I own zero Apple devices.
The Apple devices will ship within a day or two after payment.

So Yesterday I finally pulled the plug. I called to order a box blade.
After speaking with Travis I ordered the 60” for my LX 3310 with 1.5 inch spacers on each side.
Ballpark is 5 months!
I told him that I will be calling in a month or two to order a Wickeder 55” grapple and that I would need approval from the finance department.
Travis mentioned the 6% increase coming January 2nd.
I decided to save that 150 bucks or so and said it’s easier to ask for forgiveness than permission and added it to the order.
We own a self storage facility and was going to have the tractor there with forks after the snowblower comes off in the spring. Since we are not on site all day, the shipping Company charges over a hundred bucks to make a phone call an hour before arrival or even to give a ballpark time. That does seem like BS as I do this all the time and I live 10 minutes from the site.
I asked who and where and it turns out shipper is about 20 minutes from me.
I told him that I can pick it up to save that.
When it gets closer I may just call and tell them I will pay for the hundred dollar phone call and have it delivered to the storage facility.

jkrez I'm sure you will appreciate the implements. I have both from EA and am very pleased. I abused used the box blade in the woods to clear an area loaded with rocks and roots. Other than the paint worn off the rippers it looks like new.
I moved the trees I cut down with the grapple to one area where they can be cut up or chipped in the spring. The rocks the box blade couldn't handle were also moved into piles with the grapple. The grapple is one tool I look at and say to myself, "idiot, why didn't you get that years ago?".
Good luck with your wait!

Not sure what all the fuss is about? I placed my order last week and it arrived today...

The rake, on the other hand, is 4 months out. :( But, it should arrive in a fresh coat of Orange paint. (y)

I watch a YouTube channel called Country View Acres. In today's video he (Evan) highlighted a Titan Attachments land plane that he bought. It wasn't a gift or loaner (like his TYM tractor) and the top link wouldn't fit between the vertical side plates. He measured it and discovered that it was warped in two planes. He had to take a pry bar to it and bend one of the plates in order to get the top link to fit.

The Titan Attachments 7ft land leveler isn't much less than the EA one I bought, but after watching the video, seeing the overall quality of the welds, the design and the issue with the top link I will never buy anything from TA which is basically a Chinese company. Titan Implements on the other hand seems to make good products, primarily in the US too.
