A good buddy's outdoor water hydrant next to his wife's horse barn had finally gone bad below ground. He was going to abandon it and suggested his wife could carry buckets of water to her "#$@% Hay Burners"!! I helped to persuade him to replace it with my excavating down to it with the backhoe. And we should also move it just inside the building instead of it being outside.

We hit the water table at the time, right at the depth of the water line.....about 7 ft down. After removing the old hydrant I cut the trench just under the footings. We punched a quick hole in the shed's concrete floor, cleaned out the muddy trench bottom, and hooked up his new hydrant. We had the hole backfilled and new hydrant operational in an easy afternoon. I didn't even get my shoes muddy!

He was very pleased. His wife even more so! And he's ready to give me a hand whenever I need help. A win, win!! Here's some pics.

Just flailing around.
Very cool - - shows how the flail pulverizes everything. You and others were talking about that on a different thread.

Drone is following you?

So much wish my area wasn't so steep, rough and rocky. Flail would be just the ticket. Getting too old to run a Stihl brushcutter over it. Might to to break down and hire a younger person....

Decided to quickly clean out the mower’s underside today. It’s just way too easy now while standing up under the deck with the tractor on the lift. It makes me feel like I’m getting away scott free after committing a crime by only taking a few minutes for something that took far too long before!

Mowed the yard yesterday, and trimmed a few trees that had branches hanging too low to drive under. And, while mowing, I found the oil filler cap I lost last week, it didn't even get hit with the mower blades, so now I have a spare.

Been working the BX a lot lately, topped some trees and what a mess it left. The pallet forks made short work of the larger logs..what a time saver those are! I got most of that cleaned up today. Last week I had dirt brought in finally, it didn't last long so I had more brought in Saturday.. hopefully the rain holds off.

Work lights and light bar wired in. Overkill with relays and separate switches.

It took 2 nights I managed to snake 3 wires in 1/4 split wire tubing down through the factory hole at top of ROPS.

finished wiring my 20a electrical connector on the fel cross tube. I had mounted a piece of strut using the 2 bolts that hold the hydraulic line cover. On the right side I mounted the couplers for my future grapple. On the left side I used an piece of aluminum angle to hold the connector.
Found some orange split loom on Amazon :) I ran the wire inside the fel arm back to the pivot point then down to that 5" round support and finally to the front and an inline fuse at the battery.
Wasn't a lot of fun working outside with the temps in the 90's and the humidity yucky.

Water service yesterday in the "city" with approx 96 degree temps. It was a brutal day and not much fun at all. Tried pulling old service line with KX033. It didn't budge, so had to dig thru a boulder/concrete rubble field. Yuck.

Nice work! What will be your intended use for the connector?

I have a 25gal Fimco spray tank that I mount on a plastic skid and then lift with the forks. It comes with a wire set including an on/off switch and large alligator clips for hook up to the battery. I cut off the clips and have a mating connector on it.

On my last tractor I wired a short length of cable with a connector to hook up to the sprayer. It was seriously 'shade tree' as I had to stuff it behind the battery when not in use.

I am also going to put a mating connector on my battery tender.

It's fused for 15a but the circuit should be good for 20.

It was a rough day yesterday, we had to put down our 9 year old Great Dane who went into renal failure. We took her out to the farm to bury her. Our wonderful neighbor came down and dug the grave for us and my nephew and dad helped me get her into the hole.

She was a wonderful dog, but I couldn't watch her suffer anymore. Going to really miss her, but I know she is no longer suffering.
