LX2610 for grass and snow primarily?

If I can get the used 3901 the money savings I'd probably flip into a used ZTR or something instead.

LX2610 for grass and snow primarily?

Thanks Fuse. I am actually setting my sights bigger now, I might be looking for around 40HP. I have a lot of groundwork to tackle the more I think about it and have had enough people mention it to me that I want the added weight + HP to really help with that. There's a used L3901 I'm considering...

I might use it continually between the trees and for a garden area so I would likely keep it. I just have someone in my ear concerned I need to be over 40HP because of how tough the ground will be. I thought the LX would be lots.

And another use case...I forgot about tilling to put in a new row of trees - this is likely the biggest concern. It will be into grass covered hardened clay. Now I'm wondering if I need to move out of the LX series and get between 40 and 50 HP. Thanks all for the continued advice! :)

Hey all, back with a bit of an update. Aside from mowing and snow removal, also considering doing a bunch of tree planting and potential some fencing so looking to run a post hole auger as well. I think I have recombined myself to go to the bigger frame in the LX over the B. But now I am...

LX2610 for grass and snow primarily?

Thanks again everyone for your input. I am now targeting an B2601 with the FEL, MMM, and 3 point blade to start. I anticipate adding the 4 point quick hitch and front snow blower in late fall...and then maybe an impulse implement or two. My next major post here will be to show off the new toy...

We are forecasted for -55 Celsius with the wind chill Monday morning....snow is suddenly the least of my worries. Ha!

Hi Bob! Blower would be in my long term plans, I was thinking I could use a blade for what is left of this winter as I don't see a big fall coming again (why would I say that....) and split my cost up a bit and get the blower in the fall of '21. Do you use your unit to mow? If so how do you like it?

Tough to decide - although I'm sure in the end I'd be happy regardless of what I get...all toys are fun! Thanks.

Aside from the house, driveway, and a garden area it is mostly all grass, yep. Do you have a mower for the B at all? I'm not wondering if I should get a zero turn and do rotary on the back for the areas I care less about.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the agnostic reviews which is what I saw when I was creeping these forums. :) I want the LX2610 but really there's no need. I'm thinking the B2601 is the way to go. No backhoe needs for me, and it will function as a mower the majority of the time. The only really...

Thanks, I just called the dealer to get me a quote on the B2601! After chatting with him he was leaning towards recommending it over the LX unit anyhow.

I have watched some of his videos! I would be going cabless, our driveway is nowhere near as long as his and I can be cold for 30 minutes or so while I clear stuff, it's worth saving the cash to me! Someone else had suggested a B2601 to me...I think I lose the 6' belly mower in that case but...

LX2610 for grass and snow primarily?

Hi all, We are closing on an acreage (5.13ac) and planning to get my hands on a little machinery to help manage the yard. My primary applications will be lawn mowing and snow blowing. I'm in the Canadian prairies, so want a blower that is effective, though most of the time I am thinking I could...
