Mystery L6060 HST Cab with mid PTO 3rd Transmission fluid drain plug location

Performing the 400 hour service on my L6060 HSTC. I have located the two drain plugs on either side around the rear axle. There is a 3rd drain plug forward of the Rear axle which is pictured in the operator's manual. This drain plug is not present on my tractor as it has a mid PTO housing in the...

Del Morino Super Centurion 158 flail mower

Similar to what's been mentioned above, I have a summit hydraulic multiplier running on my L6060. I have a 2x multiplier but they also make 3x multiplier as McMXi noted. He fabricated a very fancy alteration to his loader control lever To control his multiplier. I use the Switch box control...

The Other Orange (Ariens) Carburetor Question

To me, it looks purpose made for that carburetor. If I we're cleaning that carb I would take it apart, clean it, and put it back together just the way I found it. That is probably the best way to stay out of trouble when cleaning carburetors with lots of small parts.

    Never owned a Tractor

Congratulations on your new machine and welcome to OTT! Another vote for the Land Leveler/ Land plane for your gravel driveway. I have both implements. I started out with the box blade. If you're going that route, a hydraulic top link would be a great addition and make your life much easier...

Is there a best brand of grapple?

I have a Homestead grapple, EA box blade, Catawba land leveler, and a Stinger rock bucket. All are well made and have served me well. If you are in the market for a grapple, do yourself a favor and beef up your grill protection- if you haven't already. There are plenty of good bolt-on...

Looking for after market skid shoes for a L2195A snowblower

I Welded some quarter inch plate steel onto mine with some 1/2" square bar in order to get some more height and width for my gravel driveway.. Seems to have held up despite my lack of welding skills. Maybe you can do something similar to your existing skids.

Thinking about going from B2601 to L series

Nice! After you get your grill guard mod installed, you should consider replacing those low beam halogen work lights with LEDs if you plan on working in the evening/low light conditions.

    Hydraulic Top Link Kit

Yup, You do have to estimate the length at first, Usually a little longer than expected, rest the top link on the implement, then make final minor adjustments to fit the pin

L6060 + 3rd function + BH92: grapple deadheading “feeds back” into backhoe - dealer says I must disconnect BH hydraulics. True?

I have the same setup as you, and have not noticed that in the past when the grapple and the backhoe have both been on the tractor.

    Hydraulic Top Link Kit

Easy answer- open the door on that side and reach in. You do have to estimate the length you will need at first, then make minor adjustments thereafter. Takes little time and much easier than using a turnbuckle

Thinking about going from B2601 to L series

There are lots of good designs on this site that you can search for. Here's my go at it. I just have an inexpensive 110 Volt unit. It generally does the job for the things that I need done. One caveat: With my first attempt I put the expanded metal on the inside of the grill guard, but I found...

Thinking about going from B2601 to L series

Very nice setup! Guaranteed you'll love it! If you end up needing 2 hydraulic rear hookups n the future, you can get a hydraulic multiplier from summit. The extra hydraulic lines would come in handy if you have a hydraulic top link or go for a top and tilt setup. Also if you opt for a flail...

Thinking about going from B2601 to L series

As I have always understood it, even here in New Jersey, that's just the name of the tool. I think you are correct as far as the derivation of the name. All I know is, at the time I was digging that hole when a motorized post hole digger went nowhere, that thing was the best invention since...
