    Tonneau Cover Suggestions/Recommendations

I did the ultimate in cheap..... a sheet of 3/4 plywood. (Maybe 2, probably had scrap part sheets) Tacoma has bed length rails for cargo hooks just inside/below the box side, grind washer to fit, weld nut to washer, slide in. On plywood, use 2x4 blocks with hole/bolt to mount to rail nuts. I...

Dpf rpm light comes on when pto engaged

You must have the E-PTO lever engaged. Engine rpm will be about 1950ish to make 540PTO rpm, rather than 2200.

Repair Plastic Fuel Tank on M7060

If you are near an airport that has a maintenance shop, see if you can get a product called ' PRC', its a 2 part mix, goop like that they use to seal up leaky 'wet wings', ie. loose rivets that start weeping. It sticks to the wet, jet fuel soaked surfaces. Something like this: It has a shelf...

PLEASE HELP: M7060 Losing power ~15 min into bushogging.

There may be a 'service bulliten' out for faulty injectors..... theres a few threads on the TBN fourms about it on this model. There was a serial number range affected, people having similar issues. Have you had recent, normal DPF regens? I think theres a way to force one if youve inturrepted...

    Hydro fluid change

I found a rubbermaid container big enough. It fit under the machine too. Then use a pump to put it into buckets till the rubbermaid is light enough to pick up and tip, and spill etc!

    Hydraulic Fluid Specs

Ive had my 7060 a few years now, and find that dipstick is hard to read, and the slightest bit of unlevel ground causes bad readings. I dye the oil. Ive also noticed theres a 'happy level' spot, which is almost at the low line. If its full, itll blow out the vent while on the road at full speed.

M7040 Slower than normal in higher gears

Is it possible its not actually in those specific gears you think its in? I find the rubber boot that covers the shift lever/input shaft gets real stuff in the cold, and its easy to think youre in 7th, but could still be in 5th? (Assuming 7040 is similar to 7060)

    Grapple questions

Showmedata, I have a single arm grapple on forks, from HLA. Im grabbing 8' logs from a pile most of the time. Most logs are smaller in diameter. I added a 3rd fork tine to keep uneven logs from falling through and to help the forks go under the same log in the pile. I really wanted a...

    BX24 ran out of oil!

I dont think theres enough good info here to draw a good idea on what may have happened..... but, checking the oil should also include the thought that not only are you checking for oil, but also checking for 'too much' oil from a coolant, or fuel leak into the engine and you should do it at...

    frozen hydraulics

A logger friend will start his equipment, then bungee cord a lever over so the function goes over relief a little bit, he claims that'll warm the oil up faster! These guys work no matter the temps so they can eat.

    frozen hydraulics

Get a tarp, and a big heater. Preheat it for several hours. If it still does not work right after a warm up period idling, yu have other issues. Hopefully its just the cold, thick oil. The hydraulic shuttle on the 7060 is slow at those temps to engage too, even with our canadian 'premium...

    Air compressor

Well i finally finished plumbing some air lines. I had 1" black pipe on hand so thats what I used. I have one 1/2" coupler and a 1/2" hose for my little sand blaster, it wont starve for air! The reel has a small water seperator on it as well, so this should be pretty dry air. Certinally...
