    '79 L295DT Leaky loader valve

The loader valve on my '79 L295DT (factory loader) has been weeping for a long time and is now finally peeing fluid out the side whenever the tractor is running. At the very least it probably needs every seal replaced, etc... I am not very experienced with hydraulic systems so I'm not sure...

Will these wheels fit an L245DT?

So my wheels need repair (bad valve stem holes) but I can't find a fabricator who will work on them or even has time these days. Kubota wants $285 each and they'll take 2 weeks to get here unless I want to pay for expedited shipping. I contacted All States Ag Parts and they offer these...

New to tractor tires...need help with replacement/repair of 12.4-24 tubed/filled tire

It was definitely calcium...calcium chloride is a salt (just not table salt, or sodium chloride) so calling it "brine" is accurate. Around here the calcium chloride-water mix applied to roads prior to a snow or ice storm is always referred to as brine.

New to tractor tires...need help with replacement/repair of 12.4-24 tubed/filled tire

So I just ended up taking it to a local shop. They do offer road service but since I was just able to borrow a suitable trailer from my neighbor it made no sense to pay for all of the extra hours of labor of a road call. That also ended up being a good bet because the wheels are definitely...

    L295DT Intermittent Oil Pressure Light?

At least now I have a feel for the rate at which it consumes/leaks oil. The previous owner changed the oil in June...not sure how much he topped it up if at all between then and August which is when I bought it.

    L295DT Intermittent Oil Pressure Light?

Well...I'm happy to report that I'm just an idiot and that there is no real problem. While looking for the oil pressure sender I found the dipstick and realized that I haven't checked the oil level since I bought it 😳 Surprise, surprise, I was about 2 quarts low 😬 Put in some fresh 15w-40...

    L295DT Intermittent Oil Pressure Light?

Well I picked up a cheap gauge from my local NAPA and now have a stupid question. Where is the sending unit??? Planning on tackling it this weekend.

    L295DT Intermittent Oil Pressure Light?

Not sure but I definitely will check.

    L295DT Intermittent Oil Pressure Light?

So I guess the question is if I put a heavier oil in it and keep it clean, should I be OK running low oil pressure due to the fact that all of the tolerances and clearances are loose? Or am I heading for a rebuild soon? This is a two acre hobby farm tractor-not a daily workhorse. I use it to...

    L295DT Intermittent Oil Pressure Light?

Recently the oil pressure light on my L295DT began coming on at odd times. I purchased it used from my neighbor a few months ago and before that I borrowed it often, so I'm familiar with running it. It has many thousands of hours on it-not sure exactly how many because the meter quit at 7000...

New to tractor tires...need help with replacement/repair of 12.4-24 tubed/filled tire

Thanks for the input. Would you recommend going tubeless if I can? Miller Tire sells tube tires in this size that are pretty similar to what is on there but two tires, two tubes, and shipping is about $1000.

New to tractor tires...need help with replacement/repair of 12.4-24 tubed/filled tire

I recently bought a well used 1979 Kubota L295DT. The rear tires (12.4-24 ag tread) are pretty rough (cracked sidewalls, chunks missing, etc...) and have tubes that are filled with brine according to the previous owner. The left rear has not only developed a leak, but the valve stem got pulled...

    1979 L295DT Steering arm castle nut size/thread?

First off, thanks very much for the help and second, good for you for knowing what a Swamp Yankee is! As a rural northerner I never really identified with the term "redneck," and I do live among the swamps, so it fits (y)

    1979 L295DT Steering arm castle nut size/thread?

Does anyone know what size the castle nut is that threads onto the ball joint that fits into the steering arm on the left side of the axle (facing forward) on an L295DT? As it turns out the cotter pin sheared and (unbeknownst to me) the nut had been working its way loose until I lost it...

    New L295DT Owner

I'm finally the proud owner of a 1979 L295DT with well over 7,000 hours on the clock (the hour meter broke a long time ago) that leaks hydraulic oil like a sieve :ROFLMAO: However, it does exactly what I need it to do on my small hobby farm type property. I got it for $2500 along with a Bush...
