BX2200 breaking front driveshaft u-joint pins

I hadn't noticed any grease fittings on mine. But I will be sure and check that the pin is in place from now on. Not sure why they randomly fall out. The universal joint was in a dry spot so I just stuck it back on and was good to go after that.

BX2200 breaking front driveshaft u-joint pins

It seems to move freely. I guess its possible I ran over something that pushed the shaft up and away from the yoke. The pin must have already fallen out before that. Now you mention it that makes sense the splines would take the shear force and not the pin. I plan on buying a few pins and make...

BX2200 breaking front driveshaft u-joint pins

No, the front tires are original (with tubes), the rear I replaced with same size, all turf tires so I wouldn't think they would bind much either.

BX2200 breaking front driveshaft u-joint pins

I know this is an old thread but I've had this issue randomly. Today it fell off while I was in a muddy hole and had a hell of a time getting out. I've never paid attention to phase when reinstalling. Is this what causes enough binding to cause the pin to break? I've never notice anything until...

    Grass chute upgrade

Has anyone come up with better grass chutes for their mower? I've had my Kommander Z121s for a couple of years now and the chute keeps getting torn up. I keep patching it with other pieces of hard plastic but it only lasts a few mows. I've seen sturdy types on other mowers made of thick rubber...

    Electrical flaws BX1800

I replaced all the hydraulic lines 2 years ago so everything works great when running. I'l like to make mine as manual as possible so wiring around things is what I might just do....

    Electrical flaws BX1800

I've got a 2003 BX1800 and almost from day one it's had it's little electrical issues. First it was the lights sometimes working, or sometimes not. Not a big deal but seemed to be showing me 'Don't leave me outside' as it happened after sitting it the rain occasionally. (I mostly keep it in my...

L3400 front end loader Hydraulic issues

Saw your reply on this post, having similar issue on my BX1800. Jiggled the 3 point lift lever and fixed it. Love quick fixes. Thanks! :D Dennis

    BX1800 won't shut off

Yes that might be an option. Then there is the run a wire to the pull and just manually shut it off like that, less to fail with that method. ;)

    BX1800 won't shut off

Yeah I checked all that. Not so lucky as a blown fuse. Just hate to replace the ignition switch without testing first....

    BX1800 won't shut off

Finally got a chance to troubleshoot this and the shutoff solenoid is not getting the shutoff voltage. If I give it 12v it works fine. Now I'm just trying to figure out how to get the ignition switch off to try and test it. Cannot find any diagrams that show what holds it in the dash....

    BX1800 won't shut off

This has been an intermittent problem the past 2 years and it just started acting up again. Turn the key off and remove it and engine keeps running. I use a stick to push in the stop solenoid to shut it down. Searching through posts I see similar issues but nothing intermittent. Occasionally I...

Kubota T1670 Turns Over But Won't Start

I actually did check the spark like you mentioned and it was fine. My guess is when the plug was in the block the crack allowed it to short without sparking. Next time I'll just change all the basic cheap parts and not waste time diagnosing. And I just got done mowing the entire lawn...

Kubota T1670 Turns Over But Won't Start

Might have figured this one out finally. As suggested was going to go get a new spark plug and when I went to pull the old one out again to check the number (had done so several times already) it fell apart. Must have had a hairline crack or something. Went and picked up a new one and mower...

Kubota T1670 Turns Over But Won't Start

I thought about the flooding but I let is sit for a long time between working on it. Even flooded it should fire at least sometimes I would think. Do you think the plug could be too weak? I see spark but I guess they are cheap enough I'll go pick one up just to give it a shot. Thanks!
