Thanks Whitetiger, I had no idea this broken bracket was so common until I started reading some of the posts. I guess I will try to get it welded and put it back on. I should have removed the underhood cover immediately. I about killed myself just getting the cotter pin out of the throttle...

The air cleaner bracket on my BX2230 has snapped off just above where the throttle cable is. I have the cleaner off, the cable loose at the pin and one nut removed from the lower front side of the bracket. Do I need to remove the engine compartment cover to get to other bolts that are holding...
