I have had good luck with Kenda brand trailer tires. They seem to have good uv resistance. I think improper pressure is the biggest cause of any tire failure followed by road debris.

With black iron always mount slightly off level with a drop drain at the low end for condensation. Most tiny leaks will rust up in less then a week I found 🤫. Threads from home depot Chinese pipes are usually crap to start with so may take lampwick with compound I have found.
