For grass you will be fine with the 48" ... I at first got a 48" for my 19.6 PTO HP, (25HP tractor) It cut much more then grass! I then traded it for a 5' model with a recommendation of minimum 20 PTO HP ... And now cut grass with it, since I got the "pasture" tamed ... no problem!
