Looks like the transmission control cable...when I bought this RTV it came with a bunch of new parts to put back the 2wd/4wd shift lever/cables etc. I wondered why they would ever have been removed? They're still in the box.

I found a small diameter cable right at the back (under rear of dump box, right side) that is not connected to anything...hour glass shaped cable end with a 1/16" hole. Very cramped under there to see where it should go...anyone? Thanks

When my pump seized it did so in a position that made it very difficult to remove, I removed this adjustment screw to help get it out (didn''t help), and would like to know how to set it properly now that it's back together. It runs fine, but doesn't like going uphill. Have read about adjusting...

Thanks for the tip...got starter out, cleaned, bench tests OK...back in RTV and will not engage with flywheel. Starter gear too worn?

Thanks, got the starter out, cleaned and bench tested fine...back in the machine it doesn't engage the flywheel. As I mentioned, it's done this before, but several tries seemed to make it engage. Starter gear worn too far? Doesn't look like there's a bad spot on the flywheel... Thanks, Seann

Hi All, Recurring problem of starter not engaging, can the dump box be lifted without the engine running? Usually a few clicks will get it going but not this time. Can the box be lifted with a come-a-long from the roll bar to service the starter (again)? Thanks, Seann

Finally got the pump out, had it repaired, back in working again. Photos show the problem. Centre spring broken, one rusty plunger. May have been a bit of a problem since I got this several years ago, it always smoked quite a bit on start up, doesn't do that any more. One question...I took the...

One other question, I think Wolfman mentioned that it might be tricky getting the pump out if it is in fact stuck closed. I'm there...is there a trick you can share?

Weather finally cleared here to have another go...I removed the speed plate like you suggested. The forward most lever was seized (in the most rearward position, against the throttle lever boss). The slot where I believe the dog for this lever goes is actually forward of the upper right bolt...

Moving the spring control lever while feeling in through the solenoid hole, nothing moves. I can see the return spring moving and feel tension, but nothing is moving. You can see from the solenoid opening photo that it appears someone has been in here before...

With the solenoid removed, using a hook to pull the rack plate back, or push it forward results in zero movement. I believe it's just not coming back when the pressure is released on the solenoid pin, and that is why I can't get fuel up to the injectors. I pulled the fuel line to check gravity...

So, while lifting it partly out can you get at anything to unstick it to line the pin up? With a free pump does the pin line up at rest? Also, is it a straight lift out, no springs or anything to unhook, thanks.
