Yes it turns over great. Just wasted 60.00 on glow plugs:mad: Is there any way to check the injector or pump ?

I have found a bare wire going to the glow plugs It's not frayed or anything just looks like covering has been either rubbed off or melted. Could an issue with the glow plugs cause the black smoke

New battery this year biggest I could get for the cold cranking amps. Drained tank replaced fuel still no luck

Re: 12 yrs old bx1500 black smoke won't start Thanks darren....I loosened injectors and cranked engine until I saw fuel coming out I will drain fuel and put in new fuel to try and eliminate the fuel issue Thank you

I changed 2 fuel filter and air filter. Checked at front filter and fuel is pumping through. Still not starting. A small amount of black smoke blows out while it cranks
