Finally got my mower today. Took 4 weeks but I’ve got it now and I think I’m going to really like it. I used it most of the afternoon today and it works really well on my BX2380. I got the 5’ bar with manual lift. It will do all I’m planning to do with it. Brand name is “enrossi”

How much hyd oil will I lose changing the filter on a bx2380?

I worked for MODOT for 25 years and operated a sickle mower for at least 10 of those years so I’m well acquainted with sickle mowers. I just want something to mow weeds along side of rural roads. Or at least something offset to mow those places.

I have a BX2380 and I would like to purchase a sickle mower with a 5 or 6 foot bar. Are there any available at a reasonable price? I can’t justify 3 or 4 thousand dollars because I wouldn’t use it all that much. Also would I need to add some hyd hookups to my tractor?

No way would I drive my tractor over 2 miles or so. That is the reason I spent many dollars on a new trailer. I feel a lot safer in my truck.

I have been thinking about removing the skids on mine but haven’t yet. I’ll probably do that and see how it does. Shouldn’t hurt to try.

I have a BX2380 and a 48” King Kutter forward rotating tiller. It does a great job tilling but doesn’t go very deep. Not sure it would have enough power to go much deeper. I use mine mainly to till gardens, mine & several others.

Now that one looks like it might work on my BX.

Not sure about your L2501 but this will not work on aBX2380 because the PTO shaft is too short. I bought one and it will not engage the locking balls before it hits the back of the tractor. The one from Tractor Supply might fit but as you say there is no hole in the PTO. I too am still looking...

I mowed right-a-ways for Modot in northern Missouri for over 10 years with a Massy Ferguson 245 but I wouldn’t start to put my BX in places that I mowed then. It is a lot more tipsy than the Massy. And my pucker factor just ain’t the same these days.
