    RC60-71H belt problem

I think I narrowed it down to the tension pulley. It does not seem to line up with the pulley at the gear box, so I will try to take the pulley arm off and raise it slightly with a washer. Other pulleys spin freely.

    RC60-71H belt problem

Yes, I cleaned the deck and even re painted it, also discovered that the gear box had been leaking, had it repaired. I am thinking the tension pulley could be out of alignment. May try to replace tension arm and pulley if I can find them. I have another mower, so I can leave this in the...

    RC60-71H belt problem

My first belt wore out in May after 10 hours of use, it looked to be too thin. Ordered correct size and recently wore it out after another 10 hours use. I have another belt on the way and may run the mower without the guards to see what may be causing the problem. Anyone have experience with...

Block Heater for cold weather starting

Would the NPT port have the glow plug? I See a wire attached to it above the starter on the side of the block. I really want to keep the Glow Plug for warm weather starting, so I my get the magnetic type and use it on the block for winter.

    Block heaters

Would the NPT port at the block and near the starter be where the glow plug is? I don't really want to disconnect it, as I use it to start it during summer, about 20-30 seconds and she fires right up. I really like the magnetic pan heater or dipstick heater for their ease of use and price...

Block Heater for cold weather starting

Thanks Lil Foot and Stubbyie, I will keep reading and researching this issue before acting on it. I keep all my equipment indoors, so that helps, and I did not start my tractor last winter under 20 degree temps. I did not think about searching the forum before posting this thread, so thanks again.

Lil Foot, I will go with that product after checking the NBt port. Motörhead, I will look for the port. It has been great discussion on here!

Block Heater for cold weather starting

Motörhead, thank you for the links and info. Now, would it be something fairly simple to install? I am not afraid to get my hands dirty, but don't want to get in over my head.

Block Heater for cold weather starting

I know it is early, but i came across a block heater (120v) on Ebay and wondered if it would be something worth installing. Last winter I held my glow plug switch on for almost 90 seconds multiple times to get my B7100 3cyl to start in 20-35 degree weather, and it seamed to take awhile to warm...

Engine oil for 3 cyl diesel

Motörhead, Thanks for the imput, I will go with 5/40 synthetic, even though I keep it parked inside. Curious, why the book doesnt recommend those types of oil, unless those types weren't around in the 80's when my tractor was put into service?

Engine oil for 3 cyl diesel

Thanks guys. I saw the Rotella 15/40 at our Walmart, and will put in Full Synthetic since I use the tractor to push snow in the winter.

Engine oil for 3 cyl diesel

My manual for my B7100 HST says SAE 10w - 30. Can I assume it cannot be the oil for gasoline engines? I had a Qt of Kubota 10w-30, but wanted to just get oil locally if possible. Nearest Kubota Dealer is 30 miles away.. Any thoughts?
