As mentioned, a Heli coil would be best for someone who is experienced with installing them, and at the risk of having to break out my pecker to measure it, I'd suggest an over size self taping drain plug for someone who doesn't have experience installing Heli coils.

Often times when you go too far out on a limb to expand the limb winds up breaking. I feel for all those who are going to be on the losing end having put down their hard earned funds for equipment that will never be delivered and the employees who lost their jobs. It sounds like Ted covered...

It could also be the ring groove on the piston not being machined correctly.

I don't have a better explanation but I basically got the same story from my salesman at the dealer shortly after I purchased my tractor.

I have the EA 55 and couldn't be happier. I use it for firewood processing, brush removal, and downed tree clean up.

With trees, you just have to be careful where you park............

I'd skip the aftermarket glow plugs. I also have a JD 855 tractor. I tried to cut corners on the glow plugs by buying NGK glow plugs from Napa. I had cold start issues from day one. I decided to order some JD glow plugs and that solved the issue. With the NGK's I had to keep the glow plugs on...

Nice used Gators are out there. A few years ago I picked up an older model 6x4 in excellent garage kept condition with an upgraded 25 hp Honda V-twin engine for $2200.00
