    BH77 Boom to Dipper Pin

I feel you, man! My dealer was less fun than a broken leg. At least a leg heals after 6 weeks. Used a 3/4" pipe to knock out the pin, cleaned the carbon off with an emery paper, pushed a wire down the journal, cleaned out the grease fitting, and it slid back into place nicely. Took grease...

    BH77 Boom to Dipper Pin

Thanks for all the thoughtful responses! So last night I pressed it back in place using an old gear puller. This morning I bought a bolt to replace the one that fell out and tried to grease the pin, but it would not take grease. Upon examining the space in the joint between the boom and...

    BH77 Boom to Dipper Pin

Thanks The pin is jammed in there pretty tight. I did relieve pressure by lowering the boom, with no effect. I tapped on it with a 3 pound hammer (and block of wood) and am concerned the inner race of the boom could be damaged, or the pin broken if I have to get the sledge out.

    BH77 Boom to Dipper Pin

My LX2610 with the hoe exceeded my expectations so far, except that while greasing all the fittings during the 50 hour oil & filter change, I noticed the pin that connects the boom to dipper had come out to one side about an inch. On the empty side the pin appears to be wedged into the boom...

    Dealing with Dealer

I'm like you. Started my search and got no response. I got lucky and stopped by the local dealer to see what they had on their lot -- they had 2 - LX2610 with HST & 2 -BH77s just sitting there on the lot -- only 2 miles from home! There are 3-4 other Kubota dealers within an hour or two, plus I...

    Dealing with Dealer

I think it was lack of communication between sales and management. The owner turned real aggressive, bordering on downright nasty, when I came in to follow up on the parts for the hoe, a follow-up which the salesman suggested. Fortunately, the salesman had actually put the deal together and...

    Dealing with Dealer

The dealer came through! Apparently, there was no communications between sales and the owners, probably because the salesman tested positive for COVID later in the same day I was sitting in his office buying the machine. The management had not a clue and we went a round or two with the gloves...

    Dealing with Dealer

Yah, I definitely have to find another implement store that sells Kubota parts.

    Dealing with Dealer

They have tons of used equipment and the first thing I suggested is they give me a loaner for 2-3 days so I could start the time critical project -- the other projects can be put off for a year or two. Those guys then tried to sell me an excavator using high pressure tactics! It didn't work.

    Dealing with Dealer

This entire fiasco speaks to the quality of people I'm dealing with! I asked the salesman (one of the 2 brothers who own the dealership) about subframe kit and the salesman said sure, sure, everything we need comes with the backhoe kit--I believed him. Sadly, I was not sufficiently prepared to...

    Dealing with Dealer

There were two of us who heard the salesman, which makes it 2 against 1, doesn't it? I'm not a lawyer but I think she counts as a witness, don't you think?

Verbal contracts are binding in Virginia, and my partner was with me -- she is madder than a wet cat!

    Dealing with Dealer

Yes, before I bought the tractor we spoke about this. I told him that the only reason we were buying this tractor is for the hoe. He assured me that I would have a working back hoe by the end of December. I only need to complete 1 of the excavation projects this Winter so I can pour a slab for...

    Dealing with Dealer

They are refusing to do anything to help. The manager told me I should start calling dealers to ask if they have a subframe for the XL2610. Sure it's a nice tractor, but I feel like I have just wasted $20,000 on orange yard art!

    Dealing with Dealer

Great Advice!!! I bought the this on the assurance that the local dealer would provide an operational backhoe within a month or 6 weeks, with the understanding that time is of the essence, and I did have other options... BTW, I'm a retired building contractor of 30+ years, so I'm taking my time...
