    Running in 4WD

I use my 4wd as a chore tractor feeding large round bales and cleaning up around the barns all winter long. It is never out of 4wd, except when I'm moving/hauling large round bales on pavement. The tractor just will not work on ice and snow in 2wd.

    M7060 weight

"What are your plans for the 7060?" Plans include...use as a haying tractor, 9' Disc MOCO, rotary rake and 4x4 round baler. Also to clip pastures using a heavy duty 7' bush hog...economy PTO will come in handy as I'll cut the noise down in the cab at 540 PTO speed...maybe I will be able to...

    Kubota dealer question

During my search for a new Kubota utility tractor, I noticed that some dealers have an "Extended Warranty Dealer" designation..and some also have a "Certified Service Dealer" designation as well. The three dealers, within a half hour of me don't have the "SERVICE" certification, but about an...

    M7060 weight

I've been looking for a new utility tractor and have narrowed my choice to a Kubota M7060 or NH T4.75, with cab, 4wd, power reverser and loader. The NH is advertised 61xx lbs while the Kubota is advertised at around 54xx lbs, without the cast rear wheels. The tractors appear to be the same size...

    disc almost hits tires

Some lower 3PT lift arms are sized for a particular tire size. I had the same problem with my Allis Chalmers 175. Mounted plows were too close to the rear of the tractor and the plow frame actually hit the hydraulic couplings. A mounted Brillion seeder would hit the rear tires if the 3pt was all...

    M class front axle question

Thanks, yesterday afternoon my Kubota dealer got back to me. Keeping within the design limits you can reverse the front wheel rims if the tractor has no loader. With a loader calls for the standard tread width limits of 54 & 58 inches only. I need 60 inches (inside tire width) the Kubota gets me...

    M class front axle question

I'm looking at purchasing a M7060 and even bought an owners manual to familiarize myself with the tractor. The manual suggests two front axle width settings, while some folks at a local dealership suggests that you can reverse the wheels... dish in vs dish out... to obtain four. I showed the...

    M7040 & M7060 tillage ??

Bulldog & GWD have made me reconsider and expand my options. I suspect my operation would be better served if I started looking at the M8560 or M9560 tractors. Thanks

    M7040 & M7060 tillage ??

Thanks GWD. That looks like a Series 101 Ford plow with Oliver bottoms. I owned one a number of years back and converted to a cat 2 using a John Deere cross-shaft. Surprisingly, it worked. Does your 7040 have cast rear wheels? According to the manual it adds 700 pounds. Without the 700 pounds I...

    M7040 & M7060 tillage ??

Does anyone have experience with either of these tractors pulling a 3x16 3pt plow. Any problems with the wheel spacing..front and rear??? Seems that the front furrow wheel would have to ride on the edge of the furrow constantly...and the 3 pt lower links may have to "crabbed" to the left at...

    Kubota 7060

Been looking for a new utility tractor and the Kubota M7060 caught my eye. I've looked at the M7040 (7060 not available around here)and concluded that there are a couple of things I really don't like about it. For one, that squishy floor mat in the cab version would drive me to distraction. got...
