Hi Paul Rae, I also recommend the BX Expanded ripper tooth. I don’t have the quick attach but it’s only 2 pins to swap out my bucket. $300 well spent.

Thanks for posting Old Machinist, it’s great to see numbers on this topic. I wish he would weigh it without the FEL As that is an attachment itself and adds hundreds of pounds to the front.

Nice! I have a soft spot for old Hondas as well. Replaced the head and base gaskets on my ‘74 cb350four just before Christmas. Runs great, it’s my commuter bike. Amazing that parts are still available.

Hi JR, I hope you’re right and it was a filling error. I agree with Hokie that it’s not likely if you measure the amount you add when changing. His items 2 and 3 sneak up on you. Is yours an hst? Mine was leaking at the hydraulic pump seal and it took me awhile to figure it out.

Sounds like your neighbor has a box blade. Just get the land plane and I’ll bet he’ll want to borrow it. You can borrow his box blade in return. Each has its place.

Hi Paul, what do you have on the rear of your tractor? I find a heavy counter weight effective to ease the steering.

Now I think I need to paint the tractor as well :unsure:

I never realized the hose holder was bent down, it is easy to get to the top zerk now. I also welded the boom lock post back on. It was in the tool box when I got the tractor.

Time for an update. The chains had been loose and cut into the pivot. I filled the grooves with welding wire and sanded it smooth. Replaced all the cylinder seals and hoses. Cleaned off 30 years of old grease and gave it a fresh coat of paint.

I chain down at the 4 corners, chain around each axle. 4 short chains with a single hook and 4 ratchet load binders. Fast and easy, very secure as well.

Cut it off and then weld it back? I’m thinking of trying to bend it first, but I need at least an inch.

Swing cylinder had me scratching my head until I realized it was just bolted in on each side, easy to see once stabilizer cylinders are removed.
