SOLVED: Hydraulic Issue on Kubota L4200

Thanks! Me too. I am pretty mechanically inclined, but I am completely new to hydraulics.

SOLVED: Hydraulic Issue on Kubota L4200

Alright guys, I appreciate all of your help more than you know! I found a Kubota mechanic that said he would come to my house and look the tractor over. He had it fixed in about 20 minute. So what I thought was one problem was actually two and I think you guys realized it, but I am hard headed...

SOLVED: Hydraulic Issue on Kubota L4200

I don't have a point of reference, but I would say it sucked a couple gallons in 30 seconds or less. I could be off on that time though. It just seemed to me that it was sucking pretty good.

SOLVED: Hydraulic Issue on Kubota L4200

OK, I will try that. and yes, I believe I have a copy of the manual. I have tried to locate any leaks in the suction side, but even when I draw oil directly out of a bucket nothing works so I figured that kind of ruled out the suction side. EDIT: Just saw your follow up. I will try that when I...

That's what I thought, but I wasn't sure. I have not messed with that at all.

The only thing I have done was remove the tube coming in the top and look in there while turning the motor over. Also put a little oil in there. As far as I know it hasn't been off the pump.

So the front axle was completely removed because the ring and pinion were completely trashed. Also, when the owner took the loader off, he didn't disconnect the quick disconnects, he disconnected the hoses from the cylinders and the loader control lever was sitting on the tractor. It sat that...

SOLVED: Hydraulic Issue on Kubota L4200

Ok. I have no idea how or where the selector on the outlet block is or the outlet block, and all my research has just confused me. it's not just the loader that doesn't work. It's the steering and the PTO lift. It's like all of the oil is getting diverted straight back to the case and none is...

SOLVED: Hydraulic Issue on Kubota L4200

OK. That's good to know. I have been studying into the pressure relief valve as possibility, but no, I'm not familiar with selector valve. I will look it up. Get back shortly once I brush up so I can have a semi understanding of what we're talking about. For the loader, I just pressed the...

SOLVED: Hydraulic Issue on Kubota L4200

So after more testing I think maybe the pump is bad. I got a full 5 gallon bucket of hydraulic oil and ran the suction tube into it. I ran the tractor with it sucking directly from the bucket for about 3 gallons. There was absolutely no movement of the steering or the PTO lift arms and there is...

SOLVED: Hydraulic Issue on Kubota L4200

I replaced the o-ring but to no avail. The pipe does have a rubbed spot in it that could have a pinhole but everything else looks good. I thank you for your time today! I have to go to an event with the wife so I'm done for today, but at least you've given me a direction to look. I really...
