    Daily Chuckle

Piece of cake. Have had several. Potentially life saving. And, at my job, I make sure you have a good nap so it is a breeze. Don't put this off. New recommnedations are starting at age 45. Bottoms up.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Continued work on road build to future well site. Weather was perfect. 70's with a breeze and sun. Needed water to keep dust down from plate compactor. Only water available was in a drainage ditch puddle. Used mini-ex bucket to scoop water into tractor bucket, then a watering can filled by hand...

The answer I always got from patients was eleven as they sat quietly sipping their coffee.

Reloading the loader. Couplers won't connect.

Has anyone used the clamp style ( Irwin) hydraulic connector tool to help with hooking up pressurized lines? $89+ on amazon. Tractor loader, grapple and mini-ex tilt bucket connectors can be a real hassle to connect at times and I have found the tap with a dowel and hammer trick clumsy on the...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Continued work on the driveway addition with the foreman "helping." She was kind enough to remind me which section or pile I was working on by lying right in the middle of the active work. When she helps, it only takes 3X longer.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Used L6060 and mini-ex to continue building up road for water well rig access. About 300 feet with a 90 turn to future home site. Dug and dropped in 12 inch culvert. Will continue to grade and level today so I can eventually put geo textile down and top finish with stone. Been so wet this summer...

A lifetime of waiting has come to an end……….FINALLY!!!!!

Congrats. I got to play with one during summer job in high school. I was just the watch and repeat 1000 times kid as the work was set up for me by the tool and die maker owner. Pre CNC days. I had no knowledge of cutting speeds, oils, which bits to choose, different alloys, etc. Always wanted...

    Turbo cooldown

Not sure. Did some reading in "interwebs" which suggested this was the case. Manual sitting at home as I am traveling. Always seems I think of these questions when I am away from the farm. Guessing best answer is to idle for 3 minutes at low RPM's everytime as a precaution.

    Turbo cooldown

Been reading about need to let tractor turbo cool down before shutting down. My L6060 apparently has water cooled turbo, which some say doesn't need idle time to cool down. So if I need to let idle after hard loads, what RPM and for what duration is advised? Thanks.

Label from my fuel transfer tank. Thank God that diesel fuel is not a flammable fluid. Thought I was in trouble there for a minute. (See words under Fluid Transfer Tank).

    Cleaning tractor loader/excavator grease joints.

Yes, it is incredibly tedious and time consuming to clean all the joints first. Demotivating. Seems many just grease and go and if that means more motivation to grease more frequently, better than not greasing frequently enough. Thanks all.

    Cleaning tractor loader/excavator grease joints.

When greasing my zerks, I clean off the old grease that has oozed out of the joints and accumulated crusty dirt first. I go through multiple rags as the old grease can be quite tenacious and thick. Was wondering if folks use a solvent/spray that is paint safe to assist in cleaning off the...
