From looking at the pictures I am seeing online, it looks like the bottom (black) pin is what is used and mine is set up correctly. Just seems odd to me to hook onto a cast bushing that is a painted surface and not even flat.

Thank you for the information, and that makes sense, but calls it out as a Cat 3 hookup, mine is not. Mine is also the RCF2084 not the RCF2784, which appears to be slightly different. I may try swapping the pins to see if it is possible, but I read through the manual several times and nowhere...

This is how mine sits currently. And when i hook up my quick hitch, the top hook goes under the "black pin" shown in this picture. The top pin does nothing and does not get used. Are you saying the black pin needs to go on top and the anodized pin goes on bottom?

I have looked through the manual several times and cannot find anywhere that states to do that. Do you have a picture to reference? It seemed odd to me to hook onto the black cast pin but even in the land pride videos I've found, that is what they do.
