Ok thanks yes I haven’t bought any of the parts yet need to disassemble some more and then have someone check it out as I need someone to check out the head also. To see if I need a new one I guess or if it could be repaired.

yea thanks all the ones I was looking at had liners. Should I just keep following the wsm as far as disassembly and reassembly. ok thanks. Let me know if you have a recommended tool for the cylinder honing. Or should it be taken somewhere for that. Also any other specialty tools that come to mind that I will need for a rebuild let me know thanks.

Let me know what anyone thinks then about the scratch on the cylinder wall and what should be done about it. Also if the you guys think it would be ok does anyone have a link to a good rebuild kit for this engine. Thanks everyone

That’s what I was thinking I was like I don’t know but this looks like best case scenario. Looks like there is a small nick on the cylinder wall I have circled in the picture. Thanks let me know what you guys think.

Thanks for the response, yes want to wait and see what Wolfman and others have to say. I think you’re correct on what was going on there. I’m thinking a complete rebuild also. Thanks for the info here’s a better picture of the bottom of the head with the bend valve removed.
