Torch, you have been most helpful. If it does have a shuttle and slides low high and neutral gears to mesh or not , it begins to make sense. We will check the lever and external shaft. If not there we will have to split the tracror unless we can get to internals from a top-plate to locate...

Yes PTO spins clutch is fine. I believe it must be a hydraulic issue with hydrostatic trans. I can’t be the only owner that has experienced this?
