As I used to tell customers when I was a Mac Tools guy- The only good extractor is the one you don't have to use.

Once the plug is removed and threads corrected always use a fresh crush washer and as others have said don't overtighten.

No, diesels do not need electric to run, they make the heat to fire off of compression not electric.

Leaking shaft seal on the engine driven hydraulic pump. Spews hydraulic fluid right into the crankcase.
