My new microwave has a helpful "Insert Food" message.

When a gas plant blows up, you wait a few days, bring in the dozers and rebuild. When a nuc (pick your flavor) blows up, well, you know.

I only did a quick check but a no load test came back at 13.3v; with the circuit on it dropped to 12.6v. More to do, but I would conclude the battery is not the issue.

Well this is timely - went to start the Polaris ATV yesterday (about 40 hrs on it) and nothing. Dash lights then, fuel pump kicks in, then nothing. Ordered some manuals, then away we go I guess. Hope I don't end this giving up!

Might not apply here, but, my road ditches tend to fill with mud in the rainy season, then flood the road. Last clean was an 10" log about 7 feet long that got a rope tow down the ditch. Couple of trips did what I wanted.

It's telling that on both TBN and here his passing was noticed - not sure what that says. And yes he was hard on us little tractor owners but he often had interesting things to say.

You may have hit on why the couple of panels I bought to keep batteries charged are buried in the shed - bad controllers likely.

Ran a 7k Generac for a number of years (still have it and it still runs) but at one point the electronics started to object. A newer 10k Chinesium seems to work fine, at this point. Here's the mystery to me - I have a UPS set up between the generator and the electronics that I thought (hoped)...

It's true the asphalt in pails is not great but it DOES extend the life of the drive. Costs me a couple of hundred every two or three years as opposed to a new drive (last quote 25k and that was several years ago). There are also other issues with redoing the drive that resealing avoids like...
