Not the best phone pic of these active Robins

And a few trilliums peaking up thru some logs I need to get to work on. I’m blessed with thousands of trilliums around my land, which sometimes can be a bit of a nuisance as I try to miss them driving Kubbie around.

Trilliums were a favorite Wisconsin wildflower that my parents would mention when I was a small child (late 50's to mid 60's). Sigh , now they are a threatened species here. Thanks for sharing and bringing back great memories of driving up north and looking for them!

Here is a pic from last year Ken. Looking the same this year, but Im thinking they are spreading. I do cut this area in the summer once the flowers disappear.

Not really a photoshoot, but.... east coast sunrise through the haze of smoke from Candian forest fires.

I was checking the wildlife pond trail cam , sitting in my Jeep with my head down looking at my iPad. Looked up and 40 foot away this Coopers Hawk had landed at the ponds edge and was using it as a bird bath.

Silly update to one of my robins nests. Some sad, some funny. Yesterday, I observed baby robin not too far from this nest, chirping away and mom or dad making quite a racket. Attempted to catch the baby but it somewhat attempted to fly away…so I left it alone. Today, found it dead in the grass. Also today, found another baby, picked it up to put it back in the tiny nest, and when doing so, another baby jumped out! Managed to get both back in the nest. This evening captured a pic of what I believe is the last one of four getting ready for first flight!

I was cutting sweetgums this afternoon and a bird got up and flew in front of me, flashing her wings. It was a fairly large bird. I went over and there were 2 eggs, sitting right out in the open. I'm pretty sure it's a whippoorwill, we've been hearing them and Chuck-wills-widows a lot in the evening. I'm letting her keep that sweetgum for now.

What are these? I found them on a moist rotting stump. They look like small snails, but they don't move at all. Maybe some kind of fungus?

My girlfriend had bought me a new Samsung phone a few months back.
After always having a Samsung cell phone for years she talked me into buying a Motorola. Which I hated but lived with it for a year. But she got me the new Samsung with five cameras and uou can zoom in and take great pictures from way away. Like this oriole eating grape jelly from a cup. Or this red belly woodpecker.
Love the phone and camera and girlfriend.
