Can anyone give me some advice on these attachments. Some one near me has a rotary cutter for $1700. But I don’t know anything about them

Good Works Tractors sells them. Check out his channel on youtube, he might have a vid on one.

The only model shown on their website is the RC100. The deck and sides are 10 gage, which is a little over 1/8". It's a light duty, but has a 60 hp rated gearbox. Should be ok for grass and very light brush.

Ok
That’s sounds close to the LP RCR 1860 I was looking at. My dealer wants $3100 for

May be a little heavier than i was thinking.
The LP RCR 1860 cuts 2” not sure about the Dirt Dog. I may call the guy on Monday about the dirt dog. From the pictures looks a like the supports are welded. But the LP is cast formed

You say.... "the LP is cast formed"?
Formed ....Yes.
Cast....NO
I think the only "cast" part you will find on ANY brand of these brush mowers will be the gearbox.
If the LP were a "cast" mower deck, your B2650 might struggle to just lift it.

I have a dirt dog 4 foot rotary cutter. Used it one season so far. I have a bx2370. It cut 2 in sapplings easily and high grass. I bought it to cut a property that was logged 2 years prior. Last spring i paid 1400 at local dealer outside of Gettysburg, pa. When i was looking the landpride rcr 1248 was similar for 1900. Specs were too close for additional 500

Ok thanks. I’m looking at an rcr1860. and the dealer wants $3100 and the Dirt Dog is $1700. So that’s a big difference

I wonder how often (if ?) rotary cutters actually get washed down ,cleaned out and serviced ?
My current riding mower is a 25 years old Cub Cadet (MTD) and it's deck is in VGC. I've seen 5 year old decks rotted out due to wet grass left under the deck.

I think it ....depends..
I still have my dad's now 51 year old Craftsman (Roper) 42" rider - 15HP Briggs.
It has likely mowed for over 2,000 hours.
That deck was only cleaned once each year, and it is still in like new condition.
I no longer use the mower though.

I have the RCR1884 which is the bigger brother to the RCR1860 and it has the supports welded to the deck. It was expensive for sure when I bought it in the spring of 2021, but if looked after it'll last a lifetime. I use a pressure washer on the underside to keep it clean, but in general corrosion isn't a big issue here in Montana given the lack of humidity, lack of rain and lack of chlorides in the air. Road salt is another issue altogether but I keep that stuff far, far away from my tractors and implements.

I bought the six foot RC105 from Good Works Tractors. Very well made, locally down in Georgia. I am still quite ignorant about all things tractor and had some issue with it (stupid newbie install thing). Contacted them and they were super helpful. No regrets over buying it.

Congratulations on your new mower.
My opinion of Dirt Dog equipment ( I do not own any) is that it is good stuff.
