Is it necessary to bleed the hydraulics after changing a faulty hose and if so how do you do it?
no need to bleed
fill the hydraulics - you may need to cycle through everything, I.E. raise/lower FEL and 3 point.

If a lot of fluid was lost - allow tractor to idle a bit - do not move it. This will allow the "air" to be pushed back to the reservoir and it will bleed itself.
