We have a bunch of fresh cilantro outside. Radishes really set off the cilantro on tacos or burritos.

Don’t do that if we don’t have the fresh cilantro….

Sheep - I know you have some dexterity issues. No offense intended. I’m sure none perceived.

Ford took a turn in similar circles to mine, although many years later.

While I’m still pretty good with a knife, nothing like I could do as a 20 year old….

As a Health Inspector a few years later, I took knives away from the restaurant workers a few times, and gave some lessons….

Funny to see their eyes.

I had a couple good teachers. Was pretty confident. Not as much anymore, but I get by.

10 to 15 years ago my claim to fame was dissecting out the nervous systems of fruit fly embryos under a microscope. Very slowly and carefully. Made micro tools out of razor blade chips, hand sharpened watch makers forceps, and glass needles. Held the embryo in place with single strands of spider web for study with a scanning electron microscope. Don't think I could do it any more. Required practice and no coffee.

Jeepers — I had several fruit fly things I had to do for genetics classes.

Was tough due to my restaurant schedule an hour away.

They were tiny little bastards when grown. Can’t imagine working on the nervous system of an embryo….;)

I got 14lbs of country ribs on the smoker. Doctored with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.

Gonna make up some homemade maple BBQ sauce to doctor them up with when I tray them for finishing in the oven.

Getting served with baked beans, corn on the cob, and baked taters.

"Drum Chicken" and fixin's for our 4th meal today.
IMG_2630.JPG

First dump a bag of charcoal into da drum and light er up.
IMG_2632.JPG

Chicken quarters have been marinating for a couple of hours in Dale's, Wishbone Italian, and whatever else gets Season-all and hooked with SS hooks.
IMG_2633.JPG

Hang um in da drum...

And then cover the top with plywood for 2 1/2 hours.

I hate that I failed to get a picture of the leg quarter, but both were juicy and perfectly cooked.

A foil lined styro cooler kept them piping hot for lunch.

I wonder what the Rich Folks had for lunch today?? 🤣

Wife and I acquired a Ninja Foodi blender for making smoothies, frozen yogurt, and sauces.

We've been experimenting with it with different frozen fruit combinations making frozen yogurt for dessert or making yogurt based smoothies 👍👍👍👍👍

Takes just a couple minutes to make up a serving of frozen yogurt or a smoothie. 😁😁😁😁
