PTO,disingagement

I have a L3400 HST, PTO will not stay engaged, can use tiller for a few mins. then it will jump out and make clicking noise, i will push in clutch put back in and go a little more then it will do it again, replaced cable once and tried to adjust, i can take coulter pen out on the fender side pull out cable & wire it to a bracket and it will stay engaged. Really poor set up, do like the older tractors. Has anybody had this same problem with these tractors, thank you!

First thing to do is check the cable adjustment.
If it's off it will not fully engage.

I adjusted down at transmission side and guess what, it worked, thank you!
