I purchased a BX1800D last fall. The turf tires were replaced one at a time over the years and quite aged with one I’m having to install a tube. I’m desiring to replace them in a few months with something a little more aggressive with the lawn I have. There is no mower deck and using a 3- point hitch mower so that will not be an issue for concern. Only the front tie rod if too wide. I saw the post by Xrocketengineer on some wheels and tires back on 10/24/23. I checked with the Messicks site on wheel and tire sizes for both the BX2200D and BX1800D and found they are identical. Front wheels are 8x7 and rear wheels are 12x10.5. I believe the wheels/tires link in the post if I’m correct are Kendra Terra Trac All Terrain on the Amazon site. Maybe K502 but doesn’t say that. The rear tires on my tractor match the same size as those on Amazon, 26x12.0-12. But the front ones on Amazon are 18x8.50-10, where mine are 18x8.50-8. The Amazon specs show the wheel sizes same as tire sizes. I guess different equipment wheels have varying sizes and that was a quick way of dealing with that. I don’t know a lot concerning tire sizing. Is the difference between the -8 and -10 in the tire size verse wheel size something to be concerned about in this purchase? Is that the number of plys? I’ve heard there is a formula that is used in sizing front and back tires/wheels on 4x4s. In the “fit model” part of the Amazon specs it has the BX2200D listed not the BX1800D. But with the Kubota specs being identical for both models, these tires should fit. I don’t need the wheels, but if there is a difference in the front wheels I need to know that. I would also definitely like to know the exact brand name if these will fit on my existing wheels. Tires is all I would like to purchase and preferably not from Kubota. But if I got to buy wheels need to know that. Thanks for any help I can get.

I'm sorry but I'm not comprehending much of what you wrote or asked?

If you change tire sizes you will also need to change rims.
A 18x8.50-10 will not fit in place of a 18x8.50-8 they are different rim sizes.

The difference between your 18x8.5-8 tire and the 18x8.5-10 is the size of the wheel. Other than the rim diameter, they are the same outside diameter. I don't know if the stud locations might be different or the hub of the spindle.

Actually you did pretty well on comprehending as I stated in the post I have no good understanding of tire sizes to the wheel sizes. On vehicles I just go with what I'm told by the vendor. I just wanted to make sure I had enough info to save on post replies going back and forth. From your response on the front tires from the vendor I have to purchase their rims with their tires as they don't have the tire size for my original rims. Apparently the 10 and 8 has something to do with the rim. On the rear I can just buy the tires only as the tires sizes match mine on the original rims exactly. Thanks.

Thanks. The site has the BX tractors listed that the wheel/tire assenbly fit and has the BX2200D listed but not the BX1800D. The original tires and wheels on that model are identical to the BX1800D.

I was in the backyard today looking at the rear tires from my BX22, and those tires were 24x12x12 and the front was 18x8.5x8. On my BX23S the rear tires are 26x12x12 and the front are 18x8.5x10. I am wondering why the fronts remained the same rolling diameter and the rears became larger. Can someone explain this difference to me?

2 things could be going on
Different height of tire changes the RC.
or
Different ratio between the two tractors.

Can you measure the height of both of the front tires?

Take a look at your rear tires from the BX22 again.

My BX2200, same vintage tractor and my understanding is same running gear as the BX22, has 26x12x12 rear tires, same as my son in law's BX23S.
