Can anyone give me advice on this rear snow blower?

It came with inner skid shoes but there is a option for outer skid shoes as well should you use both inner and outer shoes? I see guys on youtube with blowers and they have both shoes mounted.

There is also a lower wear bar option is this needed? I'm using it on a gravel road and as i said the videos online i see the guys using a wear bar with the inner and outer shoes.

Thanks in advanced.

I don't know about the shoes but I will say you need the wear bar when your working with gravel! ;)

The difficulties on gravel or grass arise during periods where the day time temps go above freezing. Now you have a soft layer of material on top of frozen material and this soft layer is easily scrapped off. It is also not consolidated enough to hold a heavy blower up so it is not scrapping off the thawed material.

Depending upon how big an issue it is in your area, wheels work much better than skids.

Some members have used casters.

For a bit more $ I think two jacks like these give you lots of adjustment and better resistance to digging in.
